the computer has been powering off in the 3 weeks and today I replaced the battery but it still doing it

I have the same problem.

Compaq v2000 some time running fine some time one or more programs run than turn off.

1.(May need to check and see if it is overheating.) No.
2.(Are the Fan ducts clear?)Yes
3. battery work properly.
turn off rurn off acarch odd than turn off power.

May need to check and see if it is overheating.

Are the Fan ducts clear?
Has the heat sink compound dried out?
