Error 530 has something to do with incorrect logon details. pleas double-check your outlook configuration. like the smtp server, outgoing server, or incoming server. re-enter your account details like username and password then try again.

Cannot send e-mail

Email Will Receive but Will Not Send b> According to the Radicati Group, a technology market research company, over 107 trillion emails were sent in 2010 -- that's roughly 294 billion emails a day. Moreover, the company estimates that there will be 3.8 billion email accounts by 2014. With so much activity, some users are sure to run into trouble when trying to send a message. If you are receiving emails but can't send them, it may be due to a number of issues, most of which you can quickly fix on your own.
SMTP Authentication b> Many email clients and providers require that your outgoing email messages are authenticated by an SMTP server prior to being sent. This authentication process adds an additional level of security and helps prevent junk mail from being sent out. If you have SMTP authentication disabled, however, your email will not be authenticated and will not be sent, even though you may still receive emails. To fix this issue, enable SMTP authentication by placing a checkmark next to the option in your email client or provider's Settings menu. b> Port 25 Blocking Port 25 is the port that is used to send email. Whenever you attempt to send an email, the email is routed through port 25 and the data is transmitted to remote email servers. If this port is blocked, you will be able to receive email but you will not be able to send it. Some Internet service providers block this port on their servers, so if you suspect that you are unable to send email because of port 25 blocking, contact your ISP and request that the port be unblocked. No Default Email Account b> If you do not have a default email account set up on your email client, and you haven't selected a specific account when composing the message, the client will not be able to deliver your email. A sent email must always be tied to an email account to protect other email users. To remedy this issue, specify a default account in the email client's Account Settings menu, or specify which account you want to send the email from when composing the message. b> Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam Scanner b> If you have an anti-virus or anti-spam scanner installed on your computer or as a plugin for your email client, it may be preventing your emails from being sent. This happens when the scanner times out while scanning an email for viruses or spam content, or when it detects what it believes to be a virus or spam while scanning the message. To remedy this issue, disable the anti-spam or anti-virus program, then send the message as normal.
Hope this helps.

I have just gotten a new computer and re-installed Office 2003. I have no trouble receiving my email, but when I try to send a message I get the error 0x800CCC78 and the comment that 530 authentication is...

You probably need to enable authentication for your SMTP server configuration.
I could copy and paste someone else's work into this solution, but that would be cheating. Be aware that you will not use the "mail.olympus.net" nor the "smtp.olympus.net" information in your configuration, because you need to use the information provided by your ISP.
Good luck

Outlook express

0x800CCC78 SMTP_REJECTED_SENDER Unknown sender. This is caused by having the incorrect e-mail address in the Reply-To field.

You may have to authenticate in outlook express by putting in the SMTP server name of your internet provider instead of yahoo
for example
Incoming = smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing = smtp.yourISPservername
Some isp's will not let you send out with a different smtp server than theirs.
It's why you can receive but not send.

Sent e-mail error 530 error number ox800ccc78 port 25.and ox800ccc92 and ox800ccc90 at port 110

If using Outlook, the problem should get solved by going to your email account settings (Tools > Account Settings > More Settings), and checking the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" option.

Then try to send the email.

Hope this helps.

I keep getting error 530 when I try to send mail out of incredi mail

This error is caused when the smtp server is not configured properly.

Resolution:
  1. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.
  2. Highlight the account and select properties.
  3. Select the Servers tab.
  4. Check the box next to My Server Requires Authentication.
  5. Usually you use the same account for POP3 for authentication. If not then you need to enter the account details by clicking more settings
  6. Click OK.

  7. Hope this helps
    good luck.

Cannnot send e-mail. 530 authentication required.

I think you are using POP/IMAP configuration and then is SMTP used for sending mail. Exchange is default configured to require authentication when using SMTP.
