scanner will not preview or scan...says error occurred during preview. Have restarted computer after unplugging & plugging back in. Starts to go, then stops.

I have the same problem.

I recently borrowed a friends scanner and it doesn't work with my PC Its a UMAX Astra 3400. I checked google for help and the website that my user manual said to go to told me that since they stop[ed making the printer's that they don't give techincal support anymore. I was very upset. I need help. Please??

umax astra 3400 scanner will not scan loaded soft ware back on still not working on vistashuffle o presto pagemanager scans in other programs
