Power Issues!

The AC adapter will go into shut down mode if the monitor is drawing too much current due to short circuits in the monitor, but it can also be bad caps in the power supply itself. You can try new adapter or check inside the monitor for shorted components.

I have a GEM 17" with power issues!

Sounds like your power supply capacitors are causing the power supply to shut down. Or you have a short in the monitor loading the power supply. You should try a different power supply.

I didn't use the monitor for some time now when I connect it it flickers on and off is there a way to reset it? GL-821a 17" flat lcd monitors

Probably no reset function but a power supply with some failing electrolytic capacitors which can age even when not in use if they were poorly manufactured.

GEM GL-821A has no display. The activity line does change from yellow to green. There is power to the display. What is wrong with it?

- lower resolution on computer ti 800 x 600 - look on screen to see faint image, if so, then inverter or backlight is gone.

LCD powers off and on repeatedly

Your monitor power supply is unstable and needs your expert attention. Check out for bad capacitors.
