Tub bearings get worse, if they faulty, the machine would be noisy and getting louder. Sudden burning smells usually mean an electrical failure of a component but if this has stopped and the machine is working properly, its possible that something has got caught up in the rim of the tub or gasket area and during spin it has got "burnt" by being dragged around the edge. Have a close look at your clothes that were washed on that day for signs of burning or damage and around the top at leading edges of the tub for signs of melting or damage.
The reverse bands can break without leaving a burning smell. The instant you put it in reverse, there is a sudden torque as the slack comes out of the drive train, so when it comes tight it can break without slipping or any other warning.
Your Convergence output is burnt.DONT turn that TV on until convergence IC's are replaced, orange glowing inside that you see it is resistors that overheating and burning.Unplug TV from outlet before more damage is done
Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.
The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs.

Well that pop had something to do with the power components inside the TV frying. I would have to say there is nothing you can do to repair it as its dangerous to work on such things. I wouln't waste my time bringing it to a repair shop they will probably tell you to just buy a new one.
Can you describe the distorted picture/ Is it out of alignment? Pulled in from the sides or top and bottom? Or does it appear curved and 3D like? Please respond to this same post and I will try and assist you.
check of fluid leak from the tubes, check to see where the burning smell is comming from. could be anode, hv wire, splitter, surge caps in h-circuit, but it sounds like a high voltage transformer. what is your model number of your tv?
Hi three months ago my kp-61hs30 tv looks like 3d picture and technician man replaced the two convergence Ic's but last night
my tv looks like 3d picture and it look like is the picture goes down
i don't know why happened again
It is hard to see, but it looks like your red color has shifted to the right. In most projection sets there are 2 large convergence IC's which put the 3 colors exactly where they are supposed to be on the screen. When one color is way off, giving the 3D effect, and you are unable to line the colors up using the convergence menu, it means that one of the convergence IC's has burned out. This is one of the most common failures in standard projection sets. The burned out IC should be replaced and the convergence circuits realigned by a qualified tech familiar with projection sets.
Your TV set just blew out whats called the convergence IC's. These, both (2 IC's) will need to be replaced, and since you smelled something burning, there are most likely bad resistors as well on this board. You will need also a service manual for sure to do touch-up convergence alighnments. If you do not have any electronic serviceing experieng or any knoledge on repairing printed circuit boards, Play it safe and call in a pro to assist you with this repair. Safety is Number one on the list! Good Luck
