Question about RIM BlackBerry 7290
Try this , Disable wirelessnetwork and check, it works for me.Menu->wirelessnetwork->off

I had the same problem. I did some searching and found this:
Go to Options, click Advanced Options, then click Host Routing Table, click and select Register Now.
It seemed to fix mine. Good luck!
