How to remove heating element

In order to remove the heating element of a Cuisinart deep fryer you need to do the following:

1. Unplug the fryer.
2. Tip the fryer and put the oil into a container.
3. Put the fryer on its side, with the open top over the sink and a bowl in the sink beneath it. Leave it this way so most of the rest of the oil can drain.
4. Wipe the inside of the fryer with a paper towel.
5. Put several layers of newspaper on the counter and stand the electric deep fryer upside down on top of the paper. You will see that there are rubber feet under the base held in by screws.
6. Remove the feet and screws and you will be able to take off the base to expose the electrical workings inside.
7. Locate the heating element which has wires leading to it. Start by removing the wires leading to it and then loosen up and remove the heating element itself.

How much oil should i use

Your fryer should have a fill line in the pot that you would use as a guide and not fill beyond that line....It should be at the back wall of the inside pot of the fryer....It's going to be alot lower than you would think, as the oil will bubble up and rise when you drop a basket of frozen product in the hot oil, but you don't want it to come over the top, so use the line inside the pot as your guideline. Also, you can look at the container your oil comes in too. When American Range says a 45 lb fryer, what they mean is it will cook approx 45 lbs of product, that's not 45 lbs of oil.... but it does end up being close anyway. I'd buy 2-3 of the commercial containers of oil, like 20# or so, and use what you need, save the rest.... Susan REO

Pump sounds like it is kicking on but will not pump oil back into fryer

Drain the oil, clean the vat completely of any food residue. Let it dry out completely. Refill with oil and turn heater on.

If your screen is plugged, (in the pump housing,) It will not pump oil.

My fryer is leaking oil from the tube inside I have a Master Dean fryers

If you are leaking oil by one of the burner tubes you can replace the tank or get a new fryer. new tanks usually cost around 400 plus installation. Usually better to replace the fryer.

Mr. Muscle Commercial oven cleaner, a good brush, a stainless steel scrubbie. Boil out the pot in accordance with Mr. Muscle directions. If all else fails, find "SWELL" oven cleaner in Restaurant supply, use rubber gloves. Spray on, let sit, Use brush and Scrubbie to remove. RINSE WELL!

I have a mdl CZF725 rival deep fryer and the lid will not stay down.

The problem is that the heating element and front control panel is not sitting in correctly. Remove the heating element/front control panel. Grab the heating element and gently pull it away from the control panel. Use care as you can break the elements off of the control panel. Reinsert and attempt to close the lid. If it does not close, then repeat this process being careful to not over bend the elements. The lid uses two plastic extensions to latch to the control panel and if the control panel is extended away from the fryer front, the lid will not latch. Also the fryer will not work as there are sensors in the control panel to sense if it is close enough to the fryer.
