it has no heat because the heater is not working and was the reason it was sold
it may be a faulty heater element or switch but the cord has nothing to do with it.

I would make sure there is power to the unit before I attempted any repairs. Gas being available will not allow the thermostat or gas valve to operate if there's no power to them

Took it home and it connected once I turned on the wifi, double clicked on the little tv and entered the network key in my preferred connection box that I selected.

Turned it off and back on . . . it connected immediately to Google.
