I recently replaced XP with Windows 7 and connected my HP Officejet 4351v all-in-one printer, but I cannot get a printout, just fax and copies. I get an error message on the printer indicating that there...

Try a new USB cable and check if the printer works in another USB port (or another computer). Check if a known working device works in the USB ports on your computer. Check if your USB ports have been disabled for security or power-savings (esp when on battery) in the Device Manager and the Power Savings area.

I hope this helps.

HP PSC 1210xi does not accept paper from the paper tray.

Remove IE8. Use add / remove programs. It will put you back to IE7 and your printer problem will most likely be gone.

No connection HP photosmart 8050 printer

Hi from France,
I am now repairing my printer (Photosmart 8050) with the same problem. It is due to the welds of the USB pins of the socket on the printed board. It is thus necessary to open the printer by means of a screwdriver Torx. You need a little soldering iron in order to weld the four pins of the USB socket, and then I recommand to strengthen the connections and the socket by means of hot glue.

best regards,

HP psc 1210xi paper jam

I found out my all-in-one was not supported since it's old---but works well. Since the machine doesn't open up, I just gently tugged on the paper from the longest end until it came free. It does not seem to have suffered any ill effects and prints just fine, now.

Not able to get my hp 1210xi to work with my computer.

You should check your printer with other pc and with other U.S.B cable.
if CD is not working then download your printer driver by net and install it the link is below
(remember one thing that your o/s should not be window 98)

3310 is disconnected

Lets put it this way, if you have a port problem on the usb, the fix would be replace P.C.B. that runs it, and connector if it looked suspect. This would be unecomical to repair.

A new inkjet  printer with new ink and a year warranty without any possible problem is the hassle free fix most economical fix.

Or you can fight with the possibility of driver issue (just dont count the hours), please check that in control panel / devices that your printer has not installed itself as another device, to do this look for any device marked with a ?, if you find one delete it! (that would allow it to identify when connected/disconnected)
You may have done thatr so disregard if you have

(twas a Stab in dark, installing as another device not even listed under or as a printer has got me a few times )

Yes the port stuffing up is possible but rare. no real check either it does or dont I have consisered it a few times when setting up various machines, but I usally prove myself wrong when I descover my driver/usb signiture problem (it can be very trying at times and I do it everyday).

I have seen USB ports not work when printers lose serial number info on main p.c.b. and I have had a couple of broken/loose sockets, I see network port/cards fail moreso than USB but really all these cases are so rare compaired to it turning out to be driver/software related
