I have an electric mobility scooter 302Le that is fully charged but will not run. The lights and horn all work but the scooter will not move. The led light in the control box flashes five times. Can you tell me what's wrong?

Barb the flashes indicate a brake problem. Make sure that you aren't in freewheel. Move the freewheel lever located at the rear of your scooter up and down a few times then put it in drive mode and turn the scooter on and see if you still get 5 flashes If so you will have to replace the brake assembly Hope this helps

2013 EW36 ewheel scooter. Why doesn't it start?

I think the the fuse is under the head light cowling glass type 25 amp fuse. Your throttle, motor wiring, or controller maybe causing this problem.

I have a Taotao electric scooter not a mobility scooter the scooter is fully charged the lights and horn work fine but when you turn the throttle nothing happens it makes a kind of clicking sound

Not familiar with your particular scooter - but I am well versed with electricity. The issue you're seeing is likely a result of a poor connection somewhere. The amount of power (current in amps) required to operate the horn or lights is a small fraction of that needed to run the motor.

You should trace larger sized wires/cables from the motor back as far as you can - ideally to the battery if possible. Remove, thoroughly clean and reconnect each of these cables under each terminal screw - one at a time. This way you'll know any unconnected cable goes on the only terminal that is removed.

At this point, you should have 100% good connections for all high current loads - including the motor and will probably be able to use the scooter. Placing the battery on a slow trickle charger overnight will help ensure that the battery is fully charged - not just enough to operate the horn or lights.

Good luck!

Can you help me try to figure out why my scooter will not move forward or backward? It is fully charged and the horn works.

I would get the batteries checked for power. Just because your charger shows fully charged quite often the batteries are low but enough power for lights or horn which does not take much power. i suspect bad batteries.

We have a Fortress Scientific 2000 electric scooter that hasn't been used for several years. We put in new batteries, it shows fully charged, comes on and has a steady beep, but won't go forward or...

Your break release shifter is in the push the scooter mode. Put it back in gear and the horn doesn' beep and it should run..
The horn beeping is the alarm to tell you the break release is on.

It is usually located under the seat on the body of the top of the battery housing. Looks like a stick with a ball on it.

All lights & horn work, battery showing full charge, won't run, not even a clic. Key turns on, controll unit flashes 6 times in repetative cycles...Any ideas?

ok, that can be a number of things, first of all trying moving the throtle to the left slight then turning on, thry the right side as well, now the idea is if the pot (wig wam etc) has moved it means the throtle is in hte wrong location otherwords a error ,
