Hi ahshan,
You need to enter the BIOS settings, enable USB boot, then disable all other booting devices, such as hard drive and network boot. This should force your PC to boot from your external DVD ROM.
Best wishes,
Graeme.

If you are electronically able, you can build a printer port loopback that will do the trick.

It is an easy project, if you just follow the steps.

Good luck!

Most modern mother board will boot from USB devices as long as the USB is included in the boot list of the BIOS and first in line regardless of OS.
Set your BIOS to boot from USB and off you go.

How remove bios password on toshiba satellite L3550-S7829?

visit Toshiba's Global ASP Locator at:http://pcrepair.toshiba.com

Resetting a Toshiba BIOS Password KeyDisk will reset the BIOS password on Toshiba laptops.
Older Toshiba laptops can be convinced to boot without their power-on BIOS password by attaching a dongle to the parallel port which crosses a number of the pins. The pin out is:
Pins 1-5-10 2-11 3-17 4-12 6-16 7-13 8-14 9-15 Some Toshiba's can be convinced to bypass the startup BIOS password if you hold down the key while booting the system.
It will be to visit the toshiba

We have a Toshiba Satellite lap top. It was working about an hour ago, when we down loaded a BIOS upgrade from 1.4 to 1.5. After the down load and reboot the lap top now has a black screen with no wording....

BIOS updates sometimes cause the motherboard to revert to its default configuration. I recommend that you go into the BIOS setup and examine the Boot Devices and Boot Order to make sure that your hard drive is selected as the first boot device.

Good luck!

try holding f2 or f10 at boot, right when you turn it on, and hold it in until you get into bios or a boot selection screen. then you need to set the cd drive as the primary, only boot device for the time being

Toshiba satelite m35x-s111 computer won't boot. get 1 beep followed by 3 beeps followed by 3 beeps and 1 beep. must be a coded describing boot problem

The laptop is not recognizing your extended RAM. Try removing one of your RAM sticks and restarting it. Replace and remove the other and restart it again. If it works with only one module installed, then those two cannot run together. If it will not work and you have only one in there then the RAM is bad.

woops - sounds like someone put a mischievous password in there - sadly to remove a password from a toshiba requires a special 'dongle' to be placed in the serial port - even reflashing may not remove it.Most toshiba service centres will remove this for you on providing proof of ownership - otherwise do a quick search on ebay for the dongle..

cheers
