The cold start switch might be bad, not allowing the cold start injector to fire when the vehicle is cold, causing a longer than usual cold cranking time.. Have that switch checked.

When I start my Ranger 2.5td for the first time, it start easy, idle for about 10 seconds straight and then starting to misfire and making white smoke, after a minute it's idling fine , please help?

You have a faulty connection somewhere in your wiring. When engine is started, computer automatically places the engine into "cold start" mode. Don't be concerned about the whit smoke, that's just unburnt fuel when the mixture is enriched in cold start. After warm-up, cold start is shut down and all is normal. I said at first a possible wiring connection imbalance, not sure on this point, but the engine should do the cold start thing with the smoking and higher RPMs as soon s it fires up. I've no idea why the 10 second delay. Thing is, there's really nothing wrong, except for the delay after initial start-up.

In the morning when 1st starting the car, the climate control does not work

If the climate control is on "auto" there is a delay before starting. For 15 minutes it is either freezing cold outside or needs repair. Depending where you live. Well anyway a way around the delay is to go to a manual setting and the system should start blowing right away.

Of course if it hasn't warmed up yet the air will be cold!!

Track the temperature gauge on the dash. As the temperature lift's off and approaches normal range heat should be coming from the vents,

New cars that are super efficient are very slow to heat up. The old gas gushers had plenty of heat to spare

So if you think it is cold where you live heck out the videos,

Its a hot start issue.

Can be related to low fuel pressure or problem with crank sensor.

Also it can be weak battery or starter.

When the engine is cold cycle the ignition switch without starting the engine this is just to get the fuel pump going look at the injector and fuel line you may have a fuel leak that needs to be resolved

Transmission delayed engagement at cold start

Depending on how Cold it is where you are, The cold will effect the Operation of the Tranny. I am pretty sure that your Tranny is Fine, Just Really Cold. Depending also on where you live, I use Valvoline Quick Change to service my Vehicles when I am on the Road. Have never had a Problem with them. On the Fluid, They make so many Different Kinds now adays that it is hard to Choose. Look in the Back of your Owners Manual and Use what is Suggested in there.
