First you have to make sure there is enough room on the memory stick. Plug in the USB stick and open My Computer. You should see a "removable device" on E or F. That is your memory stick. Right click and select properties. It will tell you how much free spce there is. Now check the size of the powerpoint presentation the same way: Navigate to it and right-click.

If there is enough free space, you're almost there. Right-click on the powerpoint file (ending in .ppt) and select copy. Then go back to my computer and open the F:\Removable device icon. Once inside the device, right-click and hit paste. You should see the .ppt file being copied onto the memory stick. When it is finished, right-click the F device again and hit eject.

As your description, I think your memory stick is error which may cause by virus attack or partition corrupted. It won't hurt to try to plug the stick to another computer and see whether this case happan again,if it does, besides you can use the chdsk tool in windows to fix the error, However if you can not fix it ,you should recover the data from memory stick firstly, know more here: Memory Stick Recovery

The computer sometimes doesn't recognize the memory stick device due to corruption, there are numerous causes for memory stick corruption for example virus attack, improper removal, wrong usage of the memory stick device and many more. I have floppies that will not open, states that disk is not formated and I know there are photos's on the disk. Is there any way to retrieve them?

It could be your diskette hardware that has the problem, not the diskette media.

Try the diskettes in another computer, and copy the files to a USB memory-stick, and then bring the memory-stick back to your computer.

Try a couple of these trial downloads, to see if the pics are recoverable, but it's possible that the psp formatted it to it's own file format. http://www.cardrecovery.com/?rid=google&kid=cr0119 http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/memory_stick_recovery_software/
