If you have tried all of the following, and it stillwon't work, then the player is REALLY dead, sorry:

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

My 2001 1200 C Custom Sportster won't turn over, it just clicks. I've changed the spark plugs and am currently having the battery checked. If it is not the battery, what might be my other options?

9 times out of 10 its the battery ,, have them LOAD check it before you put it back in, Harleys take a ton of amps to turn over, everything else will work, but no go on starting. Also, once running, short trips will drain the battery fast,, My harley mechanic told me for each start I need 30 minutes of drive time to fully recharge the battery , One dead cell in the battery will cause this to worsen 10 times, make sure all connections are clean and tight

It could be the anti theft security shutting your starter off. This is common on GM vehicles. Do you notice a light that says SECURITY on your dash when this happens??? That is a dead give away. Here is a link that explains it all and gives options for DO IT YOURSELF solutions if this ends up being your problem...

01 Jeep Grand Cherokee Will not start, the dash lights do not come on and it makes a clicking sound. occasionally dash lights flicker on but still does not start and clicking sound continues when key is...

your battery is dead...plain and simple. try to turn on your headlights, if they do NOT come on then its obvious what is wrong. if the dash lights didnt come on then more than likely thats the battery. ultimately you may have to replace the alternator, that could be the cause for your dead battery not being recharged by the alternator while the vehicle is running. get a jump and leave the car running/driving for at least 30 minutes, turn it if the car starts and runs you may have to wait and see if you have the same problem in the near future, if so then it isnt your battery thats the problem, it would be the alternator at that point. Hi can changeing the turbo on my expert 20L hdi cause black smoke 52 plate thats what i was told ?

no i dont think so ,more than likely its ERG valve ,thats the valve that open and allows exhaust gas into teh inlet manifold ,pull the rubber vac pipe off of it and try that next before you spend any cash .If it wasnt smoking before you changed the turbo then it shouldnt smoke now unless you have a faulty ERG valve or you have managed to manually open the operating mechanism and after my joey doing the same thing on a citreon (same engine) and giving me a proverbial headache till i noticed what he had done he had fitted the operating arm on the side of the movement so it was open when it should have been closed ,boy did he get the proverbial verbal ,a so called apprentice trained peugeot mechanic ?? he hasnt lived it down yet and i wont let him because he winds me up about the time i put the oil in and no sump plug .Or the time i the phone rang and i didnt tighten the wheel nuts.

i,have the exact model and the exact scenario just happened to me yesterday ,this is no bs ,i called the phone number inside the unit and was told the refridge was out of warr.-duh ns i just want somebody to come out and fix it ,believe it or not the guy i was talking to wouldnt tell me where he was ,(company policy)-i joked with him about it being top secret CIA STUFF and we both chuckled ,he finally admitted he was i the so. pacific,i made small talk anyway it being a holiday w/e im thinking no chance of a fix,but i got him to give me a repair time next day in the morning ,i even had a choice of the repair window nxt day..
he told me i had 2 choices of payment ,-1 i could pay $75 service call plus parts and labor or 2 i could pay $251.99 for a 12 month 1 time fee that would cover the service call and parts and labor upto $500 and if the unit was unfixable sears would credit me $500 towards anew refridge ,ok im thinking well.....,thats a no brainer i gave him the 251 .the tech showed up towards the end of the 4 hr scheduled window ,installed a relay for the compressor ,refridge works great ,i picked his brain and asked what the cold call would ve cost and he told me 285.00 ha,iwin i still have a 12 mo warranty on a six year old unit and my food is cold ,i furthur asked if this is a common problem ,he said he changes these relays 4 to 5 times a wk ,and strongly recommends u clean under and around the refridge as the owners manual says! guilty hes right i didnt i payed but got awesome service and advice ,and i would bet a new refridge ,you have the same problem, the part is approx 85 dollars and not hard to change if your handy gl...
