Hi, I have searched the Internet for the last 1/2 for any thing on McCall Commercial Reach-ins. I did however find the name side by side with Bevearage-Air, Traulsen, Denfield,True, Ect. McCall was right there. When I clicked on it, I was taken to all the other brands? In answer to you questions, first, what is the expansion device. TXV, Cap Tube, or something else?
Low site pressure will be dictated by the super heat. The high side, in many cases, is usually ambient plus 30, then convert to psi.
Let me know if you need more info. And please double check the model number/ serial numbers.
You would need to change the condensing unit (outside bit) to a larger duty, you would probably need to change the evaporator (inside coil) to match the condensing unit. You would need to install drain heater, door heaters and probably change part if not all of the control circuit. In short I would suggest not doing this unless you want to make a fridge guy a lot richer. I know fridges that can get to sub zero temps without help but I would suggest that you would be better off to buy a purpose made freezer as what would be required would probably cost as much and not look as nice. Hope this is of some help.
