I own a GSA-4167B, I also travel extensively and which means I often buy DVDs from places outside my own country, most of which I won't normally find in shops back home. I do not support software piracy because I feel that if it's good enough for me to own it, then the reward should go to those who put the time and effort in making it!
My problem is this:
If I can afford to pay to travel to another country and buy genuine DVD in a retail store, why in heavens sake can't I view it on my own DVD player? What is the point of region settings, besides adding one more annoying aspect to our already frustrated lives?
Does anyone know how to switch off the zone restrictions on my DVD player?

I bought the LG 20x external super multi DVD rewriter because the cd/dvd drive is not working in my HP PC. I connected up as instructed. PC said it noted new device.Inserted CD software.
Indicator light on drive flashed for a few seconds.
When I try to send pictures to blank CD in drive message says no CD/disc detected. A disc with pictures on is not detected either. This was the problem with the CD tray in the PC tower.
I cannot see the LG programme listed in my installed programme list.
Please give advice on what steps to take to get software installed and running.
Many thanks.
