I purchased a Panasonic over-the-range microwave about 2.5 years ago. Yesterday, I tried to warm soup, and I got a low buzzing sound and the microwave stopped after about 5 seconds. I have tried again a couple of times with the same results. I have contacted the repair shop and need to disconnect it and bring it in to them for diagnostics. I
My husband installed the microwave, but it has been a couple of years. We need the "additional" installation instructions that came with the microwave, not the manual, which refers to the "additional" instructions. Specifically, we need to find the information on installing/removing it from the mountings on the cabinet.
We see that there are two slots that say "insert", but are not sure if there was a special tool, and if there is a trick to the removal of the microwave. I called Panasonic to get the information, and was told (twice) that they don't have that information, only the manual, and that I must order this information from their parts department for a charge. This is ridiculous since I purchased the microwave already.
If you have any information on the removal of the unit, I would appreciate it.
I just removed mine. There should be two long screws coming down from above into the unit. Remove them completely and then lift the microwave up towards the cabinet and slide forward. Sometimes some jiggling will help.
Leave the hanger assembly on the wall. It has the two prongs that go into the "insert" slots

The separate owner's manual and installation instructions were included with the microwave when it was purchased.
So if it's later lost or discarded, they charge you for another one. That's pretty standard.
They usually make owner's manuals free online because proper operation is important for safety's sake.
You can purchase the installation instructions here.
