Baramu,

How much RAM is required is mostly based on what operating system you plan on running, as well as what programs you are using.

The average computer has between 2 to 4 GB (Gigabytes) of RAM, though it isn't unheard of for some higher-end systems to have 8 GB or more.

Hope this helps.

Hi , I have PI845Z mercury mother board and i want to know whether it supports 4gb ram or not and also 500 gb hard disk.

The PI845Z is, unfortunately, limited to 2GB RAM max (DDR 266/333 RAM). As for the hard drive, it does not seem to support SATA hard drives, but if you can find a 500Gb IDE hard drive that should be fine :)

I have desktop computer with celeron processor CPU 240 GHz and 512 MB ram with 40 GB HArd disk.. I see my hard disk encountered some problem and planning to by new hard disk ..which is best for me and the...

Hi ,
I assume you are under Windows XP but this will also work under Windows 7 32 bit .
You can insert a 100GB HDD without any problem . A higher capacity is risky with your type of machine and could lead to a fatal read error , meaning you couldn't boot your unit anymore .
Under a 32 bit XP system , 2GB ram is the max.
I don't recommend changing the processor with the motherboard , you could encounter conflictual issues with the rest of the unit .
Buy yourself a new pc equiped with a I5 or better with a I7 processor running under W 7 64-bit is the solution but they still are expensive .
Best regards .

I have sys which contain main board marrcury(p1865d7).now i will run visual studio2008 but not properly run so plz give suggetion @ processor & ram

According to Microsoft: Minimum: 1.6 GHz CPU, 384 MB RAM, 1024x768 display, 5400 RPM hard disk Recommended: 2.2 GHz or higher CPU, 1024 MB or more RAM, 1280x1024 display, 7200 RPM or higher hard disk
I know that Visual Studio 2008 runs fairly slowly on a 2.4GHz laptop with 1GB RAM, so I can't imagine that it would run all that well on a 1.6GHz machine.
