    I have the same problem. My logitech mouse is double and triple clicking when I click once. I switched it to right click and it was fine for a while, but now its doing the same thing. Is there any solution to this?

    left button will not click and hold windows, click and hold to highlight text. Also, has problems with sometimes double-clicking when only one click is attempted.

Mate i think u have a overlaoded processor issue or a small hardware problem
;
since its a logitech mouse if one warranty call customer or
open the mouse using a screwdriver and use a delicate brush on the ada tower it might have been lowered too much

I can not turn off the click lock. every time I single click it locks onto what I click. It will drag buttons and links across pages as well as constantly highlight text. I have used the control panel...

In the 'Mouse Properties' control panel, instead of the 'Buttons' tab, go to the 'Device Settings' tab. Click on the device. Choose 'Settings...' Choose 'Tapping.' Choose 'Tab and drag.' Uncheck 'Locking Drags.'

My Logitech LX5 wireless optical mouse has never worked properly

hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? Friend try my gathered solutions. This problem has a simple solution—replace your batteries! Low batteries in a wireless device will cause all sorts of problems. In a mouse, this typically means that the cursor slows down, jerks around, or seems to hit an invisible wall. Fresh batteries should fix things right up.
If new batteries don't fix the problem, you have some sort of wireless interference. Try moving the wireless receiver to a new position—preferably away from other wireless devices (wireless network adapters/base stations, cordless phones, baby monitors, and the like). If interference continues, see if you can change transmitting/receiving channels on one of the devices, or consider turning off the interfering device while you're computing. Good luck friend hope i helped you.

Right button doesn't work; single click with left button

You can probably repair this yourself if you are technically inclined and careful.

There is a tutorial here showing how to disassemble the mouse: http://www.vk2k.com/Logitech-MX1000-Battery/

The microswitches for the buttons can be opened if you are very careful, and then you'll have to clean the contacts. Regular rubbing alcohol should work fine. Be careful not to lose any parts when opening the switch.

If the switch contacts have corroded, you may have to replace the contacts or the entire switch. You may be able to take a similar switch from another mouse (many manufacturers use similar switches). SWometimes there are MX1000 or similar logitech nonfunctioning mice being sold on eBay for parts.

Good luck
