Its free and helps in identifying unknown numbers. You can also block callers, as it displays names and photos of people who call, even if they aren't saved in your phonebook.
To set Caller ID you need to save the persons name and number within the
PHONE MEMORY, once saved then go to 'My Photos' and select appropriate
photo and select 'Options' then '5.Set As/Caller ID' then search for relative number on the PHONE MEMORY once found confirm it by pressing
left soft key which will save picture to number.
unfortunately in samsung j700...doesn't provide the facility u mentioned but it allows user to assign particular ringtone and callerid for some group of contacts... the group may have 1 or more contacts so saving each contacts in each seperate group may indirectly met ur requirement
By creating groups of contacts, you can assign ringtones and caller ID photos to each group or send messages and emails to an entire group. Start by creating a group: 1. In Idle mode, press <Menu> → Phonebook → Group → <Options> → Add. 2. Enter a group name and scroll down. 3. To set the caller ID image, press the Centre key → an image category → an image. 4. To set a group ringtone, scroll down and press the Centre key → a ringtone category → a ringtone. 5. Press <Save>.
Thanks for using FixYa. I think you have stored more than 100 Caller ID messages and hence the caller ID is not showing on Uniden Tru8888.In the following cases the caller ID will not be shown-
If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (for example, before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.
When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, the caller’s phone number and name does not appear. (This includes some international calls.)
When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear.
You may receive any one of the following messages:
When a private name is received; Private Name
When a private number is received; Private Number
When a unknown name is received; Unknown Name
When a unknown number is received; Unknown Number
When invalid data is received; Incomplete Data
The Caller ID list stores information for incoming calls - even unanswered calls. You can store up to 100 Caller ID messages and phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) for each handset and the base. You can view the Caller ID list through the handset or base during a call or when the phone is in standby mode.
Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to all 100 entries for each handset and the base. Caller ID messages are not stored when you have 100 phonebook entries. When you have stored a total of 100 phonebook entries and Caller ID messages, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

Hello, I had the same problem, but i figured out how to get the callers
id/information. On the main page select Call Center>>Call
History>> SIM1(or whichever you are using)>> and select
either the Missed/Dialed/Received calls. Lets choose Dialed Calls for
now. Select a phone number that you recognize>>select
OK>>Options>>Save to Phonebook. In here you will create a
new contact. Make sure you delete this old contact information from
your phone book. (so you don't have doubles if already saved to your
contact list). Now you can go to your main menu again and select the
phone book option. Select the contact you have created and add a photo
and ring tone you like. Now when you get a call you get their photo and
rign tone. For sms you get only their name, but thats good enough for
me.
Here is a link to the site containing a pdf manual link and this is an excerpt for you :
Long Distance calls and Area Code Setting/Cancellation
While the present Caller ID information is displayed, pressing */tone/< will place
or remove the prefix "1" in the display to set the call for a long distance call, or
pressing #/> will set or cancel an area code (see page 30).
Storing Caller ID messages in the Phonebook
Messages shown in the Caller ID list can be stored in the phonebook. The phone
number and name of the party on the Caller ID list can be stored in memory.
1) When the phone is in standby mode, select the Caller ID message to be stored.
Then press the STORE soft key on the base or the EDIT soft key on the handset.
From the handset, then select E D I T ?. S t o r e / E d i t N a m e appears. If the Caller ID
message is already stored in memory, you will hear a beep and T h i s d a t a i s
a l r e a d y s t o r e d ! ! appears. The number will not be stored.
2) To complete the setting, follow the steps 3-8 in "Phonebook (Storing Phone
Numbers, Names, Distinctive Rings, and Speed Dial)" on pages 42-43.
