Hi Betty, I have the same problem and am researching it so far I have read a variety of solutions not sure what to believe however here are a few of them.
1.Conections on a little white ribbon strip/cable inside the tv needs to be cleaned
2.Change your HDMI cable to a better one and or use standard RCA jacks
3.Unplugging the tv for 10 minutes then plugging it back in.
4. T-Con or video board going out
5. Factory reset?
I hope someone has a solution fo this.
there are two possibilities to this problem. First and cheapest way is to replace the main board. Second, replace the inverter board. This is the boards that are mounted vertically on both sides of the TV.
Sounds like your panel might be going out or a faulty video card. This is the first time I have heard of a solid pink screen on a plasma. Usually this happens on LCDs, though they sometimes go white and stay white, which does signal a bad panel. tv needs repair
It looks like your TV might have a main board failure if the screen stays white without video. Since your TV is less then a year, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get fix under warranty. Most electronics devices carry one year warranty.
I am assuming that this is the nature of the fault and that it is repeatable. Does what you have described occurs every time you turn the damn thing on. You haven't said is whether or not there are changes in sound when the screen malfunctions or whether your unit plugs into a GPO or a black box which plugs into the GPO.However this only dictates the ease with which the faulty component is replaced
What seems to be happening is that white level controls are setting to maximum gain. If the control is digital It is almost certainly due to dirty power. The sound level should also change if the power supply is the culprit. Spikes cause the gain on the control to ramp up or down erratically (change) on digital parameter controls. This resulting in bleeding for white levels and a change in the sound levels. Replace the power supply if possible. A cheap workaround can be made if my assumptions are correct and the main transformer is not faulty. Leave a post if you want more info
