Question about Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M Digital Media Player

Track delete in player

I want to check out tracks on the player and delete them completely from the drive as I go along. The delete track option removes it from the default invisible playlist and lowers the track count but it remains on the drive - which remains full and will not accept new tracks.
How do I remove a track completely using only the player?

    can not highlight I-tune playlist and delete in one go only 1 track at a time

Deleting tracks off 4gb sa2640 gogear


The files are not deleted from the device but moved to the recycle bin. To completely remove the files from the MP3 player, use the following procedure:
1. Open Windows Explorer by double clicking the My Computer icon on your desktop.
2. Click on the Tools menu and select Folder Options.
3. Select the Tab View and check to select the Show hidden Files and Folders option.
4. Navigate to the device. A folder called recycle bin is available. Completely remove this folder from the device.Once the recycle bin folder is removed, the files are completely removed from the device and the free space is available.

The songs ripped from CD are not in the right format. In Windows Media Player, highlight the Rip tab, click the black arrow under the Rip tab, select Rip Options --> Format --> Mp3. Now, re-rip the songs. Before you transfer these tracks to the player, make sure you delete the tracks that are on the mp3 player now, or else Windows Media Player wil ltell you that the tracks are already there. Now, transfer the newly-ripped Mp3 tracks to your Sansa. Should be good to go.

How do you delete recorded music from the vp-02? I have searched for a manual with no results.


hi,
please follow the instructions to delete any song or music track from your player.
  • Switch on your PC or laptop and connect the MP3 player via USB port!
  • After your player is recognized, go to My Computer!
  • Double click on the Player's logo (sometimes you notice it as removable disk).
  • Now you can see all the music track available in your player.
  • Click on the track you want to delete. Now right click on the track!
  • In the drop down menu, Click on delete.
  • For deleting multiple songs, while clicking on music tracks that you want to delete, Click on Control (ctrl) button.

Removing Tracks On your player, to remove tracks is to remove them from the Selected Music view only. The tracks are still in the player and can be accessed from submenus like Artists or Albums.
x! To permanently remove tracks, use the delete function. See Deleting Tracks. x!
On the main menu, select Music > Now Playing.
Press OK. In the Now Playing view, the progress bar changes to a rating bar.
Press OK again. The Selected Music view appears.
Press or to select a track.
Press and select one of the following:
Remove > Remove Track
Removes the current track from the list.
Remove > Remove All
Clears the list.

Hi, I can't a delete track


ok to be honest i would do a complete format or try going to my computer look for drive G THEN OPEN IT BY RIGHT CLICKING ON IT then goto my music files and you should beable to delet your corupet song but if not then as i sugested

PSS110 is only compatible with Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10.(Even though Musicmatch is used to transfer files)

If you have Media Player 11, then uninstall to roll back to version 10.

Check that you are not loading protected (DRM) tracks. If so delete these tracks and load a non DRM test track.

If this doesn't help then try the following:

Check that Musicmatch is recognising the player as GoGear, and not removable drive n: (Where n: can be any drive letter)

If it is showing as removable drive within Musicmatch, then go to the options menu. Select devices. Click on the dropdown menu, click on GoGear, then apply.

Install and run Philips Device Manager fro the product CD. Use the repair option to format the device, and free up the space taken up by the un-recognizable tracks.




Musicmatch will then put the tracks in the right place and update the playlist.
