I stopped using PowerDVD long ago as there are plenty of Free solutions that work as well if not better. You can get several free here If you are using Windows XP I found the Media Player Codec pack very useful
Are you using Cyberlink Power DVD version 6 or later. these version keep popping the registration menu quite often which makes it somewhat annoying if you don't want to register it.
here is how to stop the pop up.
Close the Cyberlink Registration pop-up and shut down the program. In Windows XP, Go to "Start" > "My Computer" > "C drive". In Windows Vista and 7, Go to "Start" > " Computer" > "C drive".Click on"Program Files" > "Cyberlink" > "Power DVD"> OLRSubmission". Right-click on the "OLRSubmission" folder and choose "Rename". Type"Submission" in the box and press "Enter" to set the name. This will disable the pop-up.
No, there is not a free upgrade, only paid. Probably won't work with windows 7, it is only intended for Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition , Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional , Microsoft Windows XP , Microsoft Windows NT Workstation , Microsoft Windows 95 , Microsoft Windows 98.
Go to the Cyberlink site and purchase the software, your probably using a trial version which has expired.
I've used several cyberlink products (including power DVD) and it's worth the price.
Shortly after purching the product you'll get product key which will alloe unlimited use and open a few new features.
You could do a search for any old files or folders that contain cyberlink in the name. You might get lucky and find the serial number in on e of them. If you contact cyberlink they may have your serial number on file if you registered it with them.
