Solid orange light

If your printer suddenly got disconnected from your network, try to move it away from any interference and closer to your router.

If the WiFi light is on solid orange then it's totally disconnected from your network. You'll need to reconnect your printer back to your network. Just run the Wireless Configuartion Utility.

To access that, on your computer, click on Start > All Programs > Lexmark 3600-4600 Series > Tools > Wireless Configuration Utility.

Cannot get a wireless connection

Wireless communication issues could be due to wireless signal quality, signal interference, firewall, etc. Make sure your printer is positioned where it receives excellent wireless signal strength (avoid physical obstructions whenever possible) and away from appliances which emit wireless signals (e.g. microwave ovens, cordless telephones, baby monitors, and other wireless electronics) that may cause interference. Make sure to allow full access to all Lexmark software and printer communication processes in the program rules/permissions for your firewall.

Also, you may refer to this article on the Lexmark website about How to identify a Wireless Communication Problem and Resolution Tips.

any metal objects or any appliances that transmit radio frequencies affects your connectivity thru wireless. make sure the path is clear especially where the router is located.

This could be a firewall issue. Make sure to allow full access to all Lexmark software and printer communication processes in the program rules/permissions for your firewall.

Also, place your printer where it receives excellent wireless signal quality and away from other electronic devices which can cause wireless interferences (e.g. cordless phones, microwave ovens, baby monitors, garage door openers, and other wireless electronics).

I have a D link router a outdoor antenna which isadvertised for a 3 mile range. I am about 2oo yards from the antenna. My computer indicates a the signal strenth as good but i keep dropping off the net....

please observe signal strength as when you are connected to network and till you drop off, there may be distraction in signal strength while you are connected and when you check it again, it comes to good again.

Lexmar 4875 Flatbed Wireless printer not connecting to the networ

I know you posted this in May, so have probably given up and bought a new printer by now, but I thought it worth mentioning that I had the same problem exactly (though without the same number of iphones and laptops!).
Buried away in some documentation on the driver CD, is the fact that the X4875 can't communicate with a secure wireless network that uses a TKIP algorithm - it can only handle AES. My router used TKIP out of the box, and I never thought to change is, especially as it's stronger than AES. However, changing it to AES solved the problem.
By the way, if you're using Vista, you may find that you have to run the install package in Windows XP compatibility mode, and then when the install is complete, manually change every .exe under c:\program files\lexmark\.. to run in XP compatibilty mode too. Works for me (Vista Business), but didn't work wirelessly at all before. Good luck,
Chris J.

I have a Dynamode 6004 W-G1 wireless router

To improve wireless signal from your wireless router you can try changing the wireless channel of it from the router setup page, set the wireless channel to the highest one so it will avoid interferences on your location........

Can't get my wireless printer to receive a signal from the router

I would take that printer back. I do not know which store you bought it from, but from my troubleshooting experience rule out that it is in fact not the printer. Another one taken through the same paces will tell you that. Then you know that it is something outside that printer or some question or parameter not answered right during the installation process. Good luck and God bless.

Signal strenth

Ok, since im figuring these are fairly new products, you should call Linksys, concidering you are still under warranty. If I were to make a guess, maybe you needed to forward or open a port on the router to allow signal to flow between the two.
