Question about Candy CPCA270FFK Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

INSIDE LIGHT I have replaced the bulb inside the fridge, but it still doesn't light. Neither of the green lights at the front of the door have lit..not even the yellow warning light. The unit seems to be operating normally otherwise, although I may be imagining that the motor is running more than usual? Hope you may be able to advise a solution. Thank you, GED

I'd say the door switch is bad. Jiggle it. Spray some WD40 into it. But ultimately, remove it and test it for continuity. If there is no continuity in the door-open position, replace it.

But be careful. Some refrigerators have a second door switch with opposite function. It turns the fan OFF when the door is opened.

Check to make sure the light in the fridge shuts off when the door is closed. You'd be surprised how much heat is given off by that light. If it stays on either take it out or replace the switch.

Liebherr bulb switch

Generally at the top on the door inside the fridge there will be a little door switch as we call it. When pushed in it should open the contacts in the switch and kill the power to the bulb. If the bulb is not turning off when the switch is pressed then I would presume the contacts have been fused shut and if you would like the light to turn off you may want to replace the switch, or pull out the light bulb andhave no light. Good luck

I have the bottom freezer w/2 doors up top....light inside will not go off and has started to melt some of the plastic pieces. How do you remove the light bulbs so the darn thing doesn't burn...

There should be a light switch inside each compartment, depress them with the door open one at a time, locate the bad switch and disconnect it. You can remove the bulbs too. Most of the problems with bottom freezer are the door, they seem to not get closed properly and they get heavily frosted, once frosted they seem not to close correctly and cause the lights to remain on.
I would look for the problem with the door closing or the door switch failing.

Kenmore sidexside light burned out. replaced bulb, won't light.

There is a plastic switch that works the light in the door jam. Unplugg the fridge before popping this plastic switch out. I would order one first but if your light fixture is in good shape and not burn on the inside and the wires look good it is most likely the door switch. The door switch is just like an on off switch for any light its just spring loaded to turn on when the door opens. good luck

Light inside does not work, even after putting in a new bulb. Could it be a bad door switch. If so, can I replace it. How do I replace it?

It probably is a bad switch, in most firdge the switch is installe in a pop-lock construction. maybe the spring inside the switch is busted. Also please check the bulb you bought. it should be rated for refrigerators or else it wont work.

Inside LED and light on fridge do not work.

First check your light bulb to see if it's good, if it is replace the door sw( it's the switch the door hits when closing ), It can be a pain to remove but that's the only parts that make up the light circut hope this helps

Smeg Fridge light

What you need to locate is the door switch mechanism for the fridge. These are normally located towards the top of the door and protrude so that when the door closes the switch is pushed in. To find out if you have a problem with the switch just press it when the door is open and the light should go off. The switch itself can appear in various forms either as a protruding rod or a curved plate which pushes upwards against the door side when it closes. If I could draw in this section it could be better explained. But if you look around the inside of the fridge on the side away from the door hinge then you should find something you can push. Sorry to be this vague. If you do need a replacement switch they are normally quite simple to change depending on where they are located, most are two screws, or just a push in type. Hope this has been of some help.
