Power & Yellow Resume Button flashing constantly & will not print

I have had trouble with the black cartridge not printing and now to add to this problem, my green power button flashes yellow, then green constantly. Pressing the resume button does not solve this problem. I have tried turning off the printer & starting again, but still the same problem. Can anyone suggest how I may correct my problems.

I need to know how many flashes you get between the longer green flashes. Count how many times the lights toggle between orange and green before the longer green flash. That tells me what the error code is I can then tell you what you need to do.

- If the power light is flashing it means that your printer may be receiving data.
- If the resume light is flashing you may be out of paper, or you may have a paper jam, you may be printing a two sided document by hand and the first side has finished printing.
- If the print cartridge status light is flashing that means the top cover may be open, of there may be a problem with one of the cartridges.
- If all of the lights are flashing the printer may need to be reset.

Hope this helps.

Check the End of warranty date on both the cartridges.

Means, even if only cartridge is defective or expired the printer will not print with other cartridge which is fine.

Both the cartridges should in inwarranty and fine.
Shake the cartridges well
With the color and black cartridges touch a clean, slightly damp cloth (squeeze out excess water),
to the printer nozzle area on the print cartridge, to see if you can make the ink flow freely.

Be careful not to touch the nozzle area (with holes on it) on the cartridges.
Wipe the copper-colored electrical contacts with a clean distilled water or clean tap water and then with a dry lint-free cotton cloth
Also using a new swab, clean the electrical contacts inside the printer, in the carriage.
