Re: teach me pls...
-- who is your internet service provider -- what is the operating system of your computer? -- is this working fine before or is this a brand new router
you may try this and see if this help solve your problem. make sure your computer is directly connected to the router
Step 1: Shutdown the computer. Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable. Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds. Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear stable. Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable. Step 6: Power on the computer on and configure the router settings Step 7: test the Internet connection.
if this still didnot work, upgrade the firmware of your router
configuring the router settings will depends who is your provider. if your isp is dsl you need to configure your ISP username and password on the router. if your router is a cable no need to change any settings on the router. it should automatically work
if you are still having trouble configuring your device, call supportrix and use supportcall as your promo code for 1 free technical support.

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access.
The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key.
The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings.
To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.
Very simple, follow the steps.
1. Power on your router (Linksys)
2. Coonect router to your PC using Ethernet/LAN port
3. connect router and modem using Internet/WAN port
4. open internet explorer in ur pc, type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 in address bar. press enter
5. ask password and username : admin/admin (all small letters)
6. if u have broadband connection, select PPoE and enter ur ISP account name & passowrd.
just save settings, restart the router and its done.
connect any one of the computers to the router with a ethernet cable.
open internet explorer, clear out the address bar on the top, and type
192.168.2.1. when u hit enter, u'll get a router set up utility. in this
page u'll have an option -security- below "wireless". when u click
security, it'll ask for a password, leave it blank and hit submit. on
the next window, choose the option WPA/WP2, then u'll have some more
options, look for PASSWORD(PSK).. put in a password which should be 8 to
63 characters long, its case sensitive. click on apply changes.
u have to connect all the PCs to the HUB first...then connect the Hub to the Router(broadband modem)...u need to first establish a connection to the internet serivce provider by entering the necessary IP address/subnet mask/gateway address etc in each PC...
Note each PC will have a different IP address
PC1 - 192.168.1.5
PC2 - 192.168.1.8 etc etc...not necessarly in the order mentioned above....
the rest of the settings will remain the same in all PCs
refer attached word doc
pls let me know if this was helpful...leave a feedback...
router: open an internet browser and type in 192.168.0.1 that should be the routers ip address. it will ask for a username and a password. if you dont know, type in admin for username and password for password. you should be able to view lots of settings on the router now. don't mess about here too much, there be dragons! but you can change the username and password to whatever you like and write it down somewhere safe. then unplug the cable and wait for the wireless connection to detect. then click on your internet connection icon in the bottom right hand corner (i presume) and find the list of connections. right click on the one you are using and click properties (at least that's how i did it in vista). there should be a tab that says security or something. in there somewhere is a list of encryption protocol such as wep, wpa etc. choose one, set your username and password for the wireless encryption and apply. remember them! done. good luck chris email@example.com
There are two (2) things we can do, but let's give the first one a try first and pls post back the results before I post the second one if that's ok with you.
1. On your laptop, open your browser:
1.1 Internet Explorer - click on Tools/Internet Options/Connections Tab/LAN Settings/Check Automatically detect settings, OK, OK, or
1.2 Mozilla - click on Tools/Options/Advanced/Network Tab/Connection Settings button/Tick Auto-detect proxy settings for this network, OK, OK, or
1.3 Opera - click on Tools/Preferences/Advanced Tab/Proxy servers button/Tick Use automatic proxy configuration, OK, OK
It is better to reboot. After rebooting, right click on your networking icon bottom right side in your System Tray and click on repair.
If the any of the above works then your set, if not you can always revert back to the original settings but pls post back status that I may post 2nd. Hope this works out for you. Good luck and kind regards.
