If you truly have a 61610 circle 3, the Dialing Mode is programmed in system program 04. From a display phone plugged into ext 11, you put the system in PROGRAM mode via the switch on the system cabinet, then dial 04 and SP PHONE. You change from PULSE to TONE by pressing the AUTO ANS button and save the change with the STORE button. Keep pressing the SP PHONE buttone to step through the other CO's. Return the switch to SET when finished.

If 04 says something else, look at the silver tag on the KSU(bottom) and comment back with the model and if there are any circles with numbers on the tag.

How to program ring tone on KX-T7730 for each CO? For example I want the inbound call on CO1 and CO2 to ring differently, and for the call for CO3 not to ring ... thank you !

Analog Panasonic phones have one "ring tone". You program it to ring or not ring, but the tone is exactly the same. Ringing programming is in SYSTEM programming in the 40x's, depending on the cabinet. In a TA series, inbound ringing is program 408 409 and 410.

There is no "magic switch" on the back of this

The magic switch is in the SYSTEM. By default Panasonic systems are Tone dialing. You can change it or if you press # it turns off tone to pulse conversion.

Cannot get dial tone on KX-T7730. Intercom feature works fine.

In a TA series system, the lines have to appear on the phone. Press PROGRAM and the CO buttons. Are they assigned? If they are, then you probably have a Class Of Service or Electronic Station Lock issue. Both of them would prevent the phone from getting an outside line.

Can you change the system from pulse to tone?

Yes. In system programming under trunk type, you can set it to pulse, tone, or call blocking. It's in the 401 section of programming in a TA series system.

Is it possible to have the kx-t7730 work on DTMF? My operator says thats the only way I can access some added services

It will, but you may have it programmed to not send DTMF in SYSTEM programming. Since the 7730 is backward compatible to every KX-T system Panasonic made, you need to post a model number of they phone system to get instructions.

Are you in a rotary dial phone system area? There are 3 ways to program dialing, rotary, tone, and suppressed. The 3rd one will ONLY send pulse dial and inhibits the audio. It may be that you can press # and force DTMF. In the last 20 years or so, we have never had to worry about that as our phone companies no longer charge for "touch tone".

My KX-T7030 phone will not send a tone during a call, so I cannot "Press 1" or any number to use automated options. It does dial numbers ok??

If it dials O.K., try pressing # and see if it turns on the DTMF pad. You could have pulse dial on outside calls enabled, and that would keep the keypad in pulse mode until it's told to send tones.

This is really only a guess. The type of dialing is programmed in CO trunks and it's possible it's been set to Call Blocking! It is designed to send pulse only and block the audio of DTMF so the CO won't get confused. You might start with changing the Type Dial to DTMF and test. If that doesn't work, try Pulse and test. Last, if that doesn't work, you will need to keep call blocking and try the # after dialing.

Please comment back if it does or doesn't work. We don't see much pulse dial around here.

Change ringer tone

Message/Ringer Lamp: The Message/
Ringer lamp informs you visually that you
have a message or a call.
When you receive a call, the lamp
flashes depending on the ringing pattern.
When the ringing pattern is set to Single
(Slow flash), Double (Moderate flash), or
Triple (Rapid flash) in your PBX, the lamp
flashes. When the other ringing patterns
are set in your PBX, the lamp may not
flash. (e.g., S-Double, Call Waiting
Tone1).
When someone has left you a message,
the lamp is lit continuously.

Please note that the above indicates that ring patterns are set in the the PBX. These are issues that require a real person to sit at the main system and program the features that users need. I hope you have an I.T. person that knows your phone system. If you don't, you'll have to find a communications company in your area that can program your system. Thanks for using Fixya.

Change the ring tone of Panasonic KX-T7730

I think it can be done. Just exchange the phone for a 7633 and change out the TA for a TDA-50.

Piece of cake.
