SOURCE: spin cycle doens't work
Your hand probably won't depress the lid switch far enough to actuate it. Use a pencil, pen or old toothbrush handle to press the switch down and see if spin starts. If it starts, the lid actuator is likely broken or out of alignment.
SOURCE: Washer won't spin
Check the washer motor. Make sure that the motor is getting correct voltage and is working and spinning when you turn it on. It sounds like the motor is bad. You can remove the back cover to get to the motor to check it out

Hi,
you need to remove the slanted panel between the washer and the dryer. There will be 2 screws holding the top of the washer to the cabinet. Locate the screws on the back edge of the washer top along with the 2 brackets that hold the top.
Once the brackets have been removed, the washer top panel will pull toward you and lift off of the cabinet. You will be able to see the lid switch and test it. If you are testing the lid switch for continuity, remamber to activate the switch while testing. If the switch shows an open circuit, replace the switch.
Please let me know if this hhelps you at all or if I can assist you further.
Thanks
Vic
SOURCE: spin cycle starts, speeds up, then stops spinning
This fault often occurs when something (like a small coin or a paper tissue) has blocked the drain pump!
The only way to fix this would be to get a service engineer to remove the pump and check for a blockage, unless of course you are an experienced electrician or technician and don't mind doing it yourself.
