Eyepieces DO NOT have threads -- they slip into either the focuser or the diagonal depending on which scope type you own.
You MUST MEAN the focuser is stripped-- a new 60mm focuser assembly will cost you about $20-$30 if you can find one. Call Meade first here: http://www.meade.com/support/index.html and see if they will sell you one. If not look around this web site:
It might be easiest to see if someone is selling one on Craig's list or ebay. You might be able to find one used where the telescope is OK, but the motorized drive is broken and replace the telescope.

You could try calling them and see if they will sell the part you need for the focuser. The focuser is called a rack and pinion focuser. From your description it is hard to know if it is the long linear gear on the draw-tube (the part that holds the eyepiece) or the gear on the shaft of the focusing knob. You will need to be able to describe that to them.
I hope that helps.
ds-2000 refers to the model line of the scope. ds-2130 the 130 refers to the diameter of the objective lens in mm. I have a ds-2114. Where the objective lens is 114 mm in diameter. as far as the manual goes everything else should be the same.
