My iriver stops then comes on with warped music, then stops again. Now although I know it's charged it will not turn on... Just out of warranty too.
Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time you are viewing this. What you are trying to say in your request is that your MP3 player stops playing, then comes on for a short period of time with defective music, then cuts off again. There could be a number of causes here. We can eliminate the "battery needs charging" cause because you said that the battery is already charged. But the battery itself may be defective. If that's the case, you will need to install a new battery into your device. Reply back and I will try my best to locate where you find a battery for this product. Another cause to take into consideration is the music file that you are playing. The music files that the iriver 150 supports are: MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC & ASF. The music file you that was currently playing may not be supported by this device or is corrupted. If so, you need to delete this file immediately. To delete a file, press and hold the > (directional right) button to display the Options menu. Select Delete File to delete the selected file. You can also go to your file manager and manually delete files. On the main menu screen, press the directional up or down buttons and selcet the File Manager, then press the OK button. Next, press the directional up or down buttons again to select either Internal or External Memory, whichever type of memory your file is under. If you do not know what Internal or External Memory is, Internal memory is the memory in your hard drive. External Memory is portable memory for example a Micro SD card, that can be taken out. In the file folder list, press the directional buttons to select your folder or subfolder if you have created one. Once you've done that, press and hold the > (directional right) button to confirm the deletion process. If you are still having problems, try changing the settings for the backlight or auto power. To do this, go to your main menu and select the Settings que. The select either the Display or Timer options. If you selected the Display option, select Backlight and change the time to your desired setting. If you selected the Timer option, select Auto Power and change this setting to off. If that doesn't solve your issue, reply back and and I'll see what else to do. I hope these options get your music device back up and running.
