Question about Washing Machines
Hi, I live in Australia. I would like to ask some advice. I have a Simpson Brand, Esprit 750 Model 22S750, nearly six years old. It has been playing up for more than six months now. It will sometimes agitate and sometimes not. It will sometimes spin and sometimes not. It may be working (agitating or spinning) and then all of a sudden stop working. Water always fills up and pumps out, with no problem. The selector dial always ticks and goes around. The on/off clicker for the lid seems to be working fine. More recently though the machine also started making a terribly loud noise when it spins, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I have also found that if I turn the selector dial really fast around whilst in the on position, sometimes starts the machine working again, but not always. Sometimes I leave it for a day and then it will work again. In a family of 2 Adults and 6 kids my machine is really important, and if I could fix it myself, that would really help. If anyone would know definitely what this problem is and could let me know which part needed changing I would be most greatful. Yours Sincerely, Angelina.
I am having exactly the same problem. Did you replace the timer, if so did it fix the problem?

Angelina, price out a replacement timer vs new washer. You maybe better off buying a new Kleenmaid Toploader.
