OUR REMOTE CONTROL LOST THE ABILITY TO DO ANYTHING. CAN'T TURN OFF OR ON. CAN'T RAISE OR LOWER THE SOUND. PUT NEW BATTERIES AND STILL DOESN'T WORK. THIS PROBLEM STARTED BY DOING THIS ONCE IN A WHILE BUT CONTINUED TO GET MORE OFTEN UNTIL FINALLY QUIT. TRIED THE RESET BUT NO LUCK.

I need the remote control brand code for my Technics eur64700 so I can enter it in my new universal remote. Can you help...thank you

If you have a universal remote, you can use its code search feature to find a code that will control your Technics receiver. If a thorough search through all codes stored in the remote fails, you may have to try another universal remote. Not all remotes contain the same codes.

My remote controll stopped working.Ichanged the batteries but still nothing!!!

Read this procedure to possibly fix the remote:
http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Display&contents=help_deadremote&uuid=A12963989782821
They also sell replacement remotes.
Zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site (or look at your own) and get the actual remote model number.

or check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remote", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

"Dead" Remotes Can Be Saved

How to Re-Start Your "Dead" Remote Control

This only takes about a minute and will restart 1 in 3 "Dead" Original Remote Controls. Good Luck!

-----------------------------

Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.

Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!

Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.

(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)

Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.

New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.

Step 5- Try the remote.

Special Note:

If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone you can test the remote to see if it is emitting a signal. Face the remote towards the lens of the digital unit until you can see the front of the remote. Depress any button on the remote. You should see a light (steady, blink or flashing) being emitted from the remote. If you do then the problem might not be the remote but the sensor on the unit.

If it works, Great!

If not, it's time to call 1-800-Remotes or use this website to order a new remote.

Find new or replacement remotes:

http://remotes.com/store/codes_original.html

or eBay: search for "(model) remotes", check the 'include description

Remote control won't work. Brand new batteries in brand new remote. Transmit light comes on remote but amp does not receive.

First of all you will need to cross check the remote with a sensor to confirm. If not while using the remote check for change in voltage in the input of the sensor inthe amplifier. If there is no change then check for failrueof the remote IR emitter/ the remote controller IC or bad tracks. Check this out. If sensor is detecting then trace to the microprocessor of the Amp for any connection issues, solder the joints in this circuit. Sometimes the idications shows on remote but may have a wrong frequency. So check the crystal on the remote. helpful I hope. Good day

Remote doen't work properly

Hello,

apart from the balance for the speak button on the remote, does other buttons on the remote work or is it all the functions on the remote that is not working any more?

This may be as a result of the faulty remote sensor or problem from the remote.

Which ever the case maybe, the remote need to be changed. But before you change the remote, if you have a friend the has the type of your remote, you can simply use it to test the remote first, before you get another remote.

Good luck.

Lower volume on right side!

I have't seen this porblem, have you tried changing the source place's R with L and see if the sound have change side. If it did then it's your input signal.
I would first check the board for bad solder connection, but it sound like you have a cpu problem or the main ic's procesor. This can be checked with a scope with the ouput of the pre amp to see if the level or the same, with a mono input signal only. You may also have a section of the ouput stage not working, the pre amp , the stage before the main amp out will tell you all by looking at the signal level's.

II know it's not easy, but you will at one point need a scope, without it you will notice you're just going at it blinfowled. When purchasing a scope, put the money it it, a good scope will cost a min of $2k. I'm usind a teck scope and love it, I've also used a leader and find it just the same and sometine better for under $1k.

I hope this help

Remove on screen monitor display with out the remote

Check ebay for a remote. There are also several online dealers that sell replacement remotes. Do a search using "replacement remotes" and you'll find most of them. If you don't have the owners manual, I suggest getting one. It can probably be downloaded for free at Yamaha's website.
