This may be the same IC that goes out all the time. Symptoms vary. Check for repair kits.

I have replaced a capacitor, transitor, and a diode as was described to me by repair world this is on the deflection board, now it turns on and works but it has an hour glass shape to the picture the side...

thats a pin cushion problem. I would check for more bad caps on the deflection board or open resistor. Sounds like you had an issue with the retrace cap CL031 and the HOT transformer and possibly the DL030 often if they fail bad enough the circuit board can actually burn through and that arc can travel and cause other items to fail. You may end up having to replace the deflection board to fully fix the issue of pin cushion that your experiencing now.

Have a RCA 60" rear projection tv. Went to turn it on, no picture no sound, give three faint bleeps and turns back off. Have not had time to get the chassis or SN # but will do so ASAP. Any suggestions?

bleeps? sounds? flashing led, sounds like you have the dreaded processor shutdown. As a technician i see this every day at the shop. First advice i give (which never works) unplug the set and wait 30 min to try again. If the front led lights you can be sure of one thing. it not the fuse. this means the processor is seeing a problem and shuting the set down before it causes a fire. It can be one of about 20 different cuircits. In the shop we plug it into a computer to read error codes much like a car. the highest probability is high voltage ...flyback horizontal output transitor. It take a technicain and voltage checks to narrow it down.

Mitsubishi VS 50707 ( not 705)

I have the same TV built in 99. My problem is similar but the vertical hold gives out when the tv warms up about 5 minutes. I will attempt to locate the vertical hold circuit and replace any parts I suspects may be the problem. I suspect a cap is leaking or transitor around IC700 is degrading when warm.
