Hello,

Many times repeatedly tapping on the Scroll Lock key will cause a keyboard to reset itself so the number lock works again.

This type of issue is very dependent upon your specific equipment and the OS used. General usage solutions are at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894513/en-us
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320095/en-us

If neither of these appears to relate to your situation, please allow me to suggest either typing "numeric keypad not working" in the advanced search box at the top of this window and seeking the answer. Otherwise, please post back if you need further assistance, with information regarding your PC make & model, and the OS you are using. (For instance, the Num Lock was always automatically set to off upon startup in Windows 2000, and the only fix was to modify the registry.)

Thank you for using and rating FixYa!

L had formatted my dell insporon and now fn key is not working....is there any driver for that tooo???

Examine your keyboard to ensure your "Number Lock" key is not activated.

This activation is indicated by the key being lit up.

If the key is activated, press it to deactivate the lock.

The number lock key will deactivate an entire segment of your keyboard

Start, click Run, and type regedit to open the Windows registry editor.

In the registry, open the below folders.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Control Panel\
Keyboard\

Within the keyboard folder, you should have a string value named "InitialKeyboardIndicators" with a value of 0, 1, or 2. Below is the explanation of each of these values.

0 = Num Lock is turned OFF after the logon.
1 = Disable Num Lock.
2 = Numlock is turned ON after the logon.

hope this helps

Lost keys - Nutool SF10

Yes. That seven digit number is the key code. A locksmith who is well stocked should be able to cut new ones from just the number.

Otherwise write to the manufacturer of the safe or the lock and provide the number and they should send the new keys.

in either case, there will be a nominal fee.

How to use number keyboard

You use the number pad as follows: your index middle and ring finger rest on the 4, 5, and 6 keys. The index finger reaches up or down to use the 7, 4, 1 keys. The middle finger uses the 8, 5, 2 keys. And the ring finger uses the 9, 6, 3 keys. And the thumb is for the 0.

While using an USB number pad, every key strike shows an on-screen display for NumLock. How do I disable this feature?

The number lock key is located on the right side of your keyboard near the extra number keypad. it is in the top weft hand side of the number keypad. it says " Num Lock" on it and has an arrow pointing upward (usually). If you start with the last key on the right side of your keyboard it should be located four keys over.

Press it to turn on and off the number lock feature.

My westinghouse pc says i may be a victim of software counterfeit

If your OS is working then the sound locked has nothing to do with the product key. If it is telling you that you have not activated your OS then activate it with this number when told to do so. If that will not work, you need to call Microsoft at (888) 352 7140 if you live in the U.S. or one of these other numbers if you live outside the U.S. depending on where you live. Have the product key you now have written down and ready to repeat. Tell them the OS has not been installed on any other computer and the problem you are having. Click the link and choose the correct number. http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/existing-customers/activation-centers.aspx If you just have a sound issue post back.
