Why wont the unlock button work on the Astros start remote for a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer?

Sounds like either the key fob needs to be reprogramed or your remote locking system needs to be reset. Check with the manufacturer or dealer where you bought the car if they have the directions for resetting the system.

I have a 1996 Mercury Sable 4 door. I cannot program my key less remote. I use to be able to use it until I had to get a new battery for it. I think that's when it stopped working.

I'm not 100% on this one but 99.9% sounds like the body control module was reset. The car would have to be brought to the dealer to SYNCH the BCM & security system. Possibly just SYNCH just
the remotes to the car. Good Luck, Frank M

Changed battery in 1993 Toyota Celica. Alarm goes off and will not allow car to start.

You will have to reset the security system. Call the dealership and they can give you the code. You need your vin# You might have to go there personally. It just depends.

Battery failed and lights flashing?
Parking lights will flash when the vehicle's battery is disconnected and reconnected.
To stop lights from flashing, either:
Press remote transmitter "UNLOCK" button once OR turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position and press programming button for one second (see below).
The vehicle interior (courtesy) light and door open warning light (DOOR AJAR indicator) will then illuminate for 60 seconds when the ignition is turned off, or until the doors are locked with the remote transmitter. Yes, the dashboard instrument panel lights will flash when the parking lights flash.

Programming or Overriding the Alarm when you have lost the remote
Open driver's door.
Turn ignition key to 'On'
Press and *hold programming button* in (see diagram, button under dashboard)
After 15 seconds the the door locks will cycle 3 times. Do not release Programming button.
Press lock (left) button the remotes to be programmed. The door locks will cycle one time. Exit programming mode by releasing Programming button under dashboard and turning key to off.

codealarmremote1.jpgCode Alarm Programming Button is under dashboard on the kick panel by the driver's left knee, left of the steering column. If you can't find it, it might still be tucked up in the wiring harness higher up in that same general area. The botton is recessed in a plastic ring (see diagram).
This button must be pressed while programming remotes or if the battery was disconnected and the lights are flashing.

The back door won't unlock or open and the front doors won't unlock by the remote

Simple enough to reset the power locking system:
1) make sure battery in remote is good, if in doubt replace it. Next unlock all the doors and keep them closed.
2) Jack up the car and you'll find the power lock reset button above the fuel tank. If you cant reach it drop the tank down slightly until you are able.
3) Depress the power lock reset button, then get inside the car and hold the unlock button on the remote for 2 min.
4) The system will reset when you get out of the car and hold the lock button for another 2 min while circling the car briskly.

Central locking system

I have recently had this problem I believe this to has been caused by a fault in the drivers door lock assembly It seems this contains the remote receiver. In my case I think there had been some radio interference being the main cause. The remote system seems to be working OK, The door lock will still not operate with the key.
Remove and replace the fuse 25 resetting the ignition module. Starting the engine, switch off remove the key from the ignition, stay in the car lock the doors using the door button, press and hold the remote unlock button for approx 5 seconds, listen to see if you can hear the clicking of the door receiver when you press the remote buttons. Press and hold lock/unlock button. You may be lucky.
