I want to download my pictures from my LG800GHL cell phone to my pc, but my pc doesn't recognize it

According to the user guide online here:

http://www.lg.com/us/support/products/documents/RDL-1102-00054_LG800G_TRF_0221.pdf

this phone supports SD memory cards. If you have one installed, the pictures are probably on that. If your PC has a card reader, you can take the card out and plug it in and Windows should deal with it. Pictures are generally in a folder called DCIM and then named by date.

As far as your PC (I assume it's Windows and not Mac) not recognizing it when plugged in, you can download the Windows driver here:

http://tool.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00120120425

Install it. I've looked at it, it's required if you want to have Windows recognize your phone at all, as it's one of those non plug-n-play drivers. Hope this helps.

Computer won't upload pictures from camera

You neglected to specify the make and model of your camera, so I'm going to assume it uses a memory card of some type.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Homeworld 2 will not work no windows 7

You might need some specific programs installed
IE: Direct x , Adobe , Klite codec pack

http://download.cnet.com/adobe-reader-x/3000-10743_4-10000062.html

http://download.cnet.com/k-lite-codec-pack/3000-13632_4-64246.html

if this fails to get it to run

It looks as though the program was made for 98/ME/2000 and /xp
you might try the patch

hope this helps

My card reader is erasing pictures before I can download them

Try go to device manager and delete the 9 in one card reader, then tell device manager to scan for new hardware, the 9 in 1 card reader should be re-detected, drivers should be re-installed and the reader assigned a new drive letter. Good luck!

with 98, you have to install drivers. I suggest installing the drivers, or upgrading to Windows XP or Vista.
