My computer is not talking to the printer over my wireless network, at least not completely. I can print the test page, but if I ask it to print a document, nothing happens. MacBook Pro 10.5.8, netgear wireless. Any ideas?

How to make mp760 wifi

This printer has only an USB connection that connects to your computer and cannot connect to wireless network directly. You can attach this printer to a wireless printer server/router to enable wireless printing.
OR
SET UP A SHARED NETWORK PRINTER
Any printer that is connected to a computer and is connected on a LAN can be configured so all other computers on the same network can print to this printer. This means the computer with the printer attached to it MUST be booted up at all times when other computers want to access the printer. You need to install the printer driver on the computer and configure it as a Shared printer. The other computers on the network need to add this printer to their computer. Follow these steps to set-up a shared network printer :- 1. Connect the printer to the computer and install the printer driver. 2. Open Printers and Faxes - right click on this printer and click Sharing - click Sharing tab and click Share this printer, and then if you wish you could change the Share name, then click OK 3. Right click on the printer - click Properties - click Print Test Page to confirm printer installation. Follow these steps to configure the computers on your network :- 1. Open Printers and Faxes - click Add a printer - Next - select a network printer, or a printer attached to another computer - Next. 2. Select Browser for a printer - Next 3. Click on and expand the Microsoft Windows Network down to the computer with the printer - Next 4. Select Yes for - Use this printer as the default printer - Next - Finish 5. Right click on the printer - click Properties - click Print Test Page to confirm printer installation.

I setup my Lexmark Z2420 on a wireless connection

Setting up a Lexmark Z2420 on a wireless connection is a straightforward process, but it can vary depending on your specific network configuration. Here are the general steps you can follow to set up your Lexmark Z2420 on a wireless connection:
  1. Connect the printer to the wireless network: Turn on the printer and make sure it is in range of your wireless network. Press the Wireless button on the printer's control panel to access the wireless menu. Use the navigation buttons to select "Wireless Setup Wizard" and then press OK. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your wireless network.
  2. Install the printer software: Insert the installation CD that came with your printer into your computer's CD drive and follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer software. If you don't have the installation CD, you can download the software from the Lexmark website.
  3. Add the printer to your computer: Once the software is installed, add the printer to your computer by following the on-screen instructions. You may be prompted to enter your wireless network name and password.
  4. Test the printer: Once the printer is connected to your wireless network, test it by printing a test page from your computer.
It's important to note that the steps may vary depending on your specific network configuration, and it's best to consult the manual or the Lexmark website for the specific instructions. Also, it's important to make sure that your computer and the printer are connected to the same wireless network and that the network is working properly before attempting to connect the printer. If you're still having trouble setting up the printer, you may need to consult the manual or contact Lexmark customer support for additional assistance. if i help my cashapp $ralphpapi

I am trying to connect my macbook pro 4.1 to a wireless printer. That printer works fine - when on wireless with my wifes windows machine and it works fine if i connect my mac to the printer- just not n a...

IN the case of the Mac what I have had to do in the past was shut down the other laptops and computers, delete the printer program from the Mac and start over. During the setup of the printer make sure nothing is connected to the printer. Only connect what you are instructed to at the appropriate time. It will eventually ask you how you are going to connect to the printer from that particular printer, answer ethernet cable and attach the ethernat cable to the printer from your router, make sure your laptop is connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Always set your computer up to the printer vis a hard line, then onve it is done you can swap over to a wireless setup. Once the setup is complete and a test print is accomplished bia ethernet cable, then disconnect the cable from the laptop to the router. Once you are connected to the network wirelessly, attempt another test page, you have already set the printer up at this point to be your default printing device so the laptop will find the printer on the network and initiate it. You may have to watch close for a pop up window asking to allow the connection or access to the program. Maybe think about dropping the firewall temporarily until the connection is secure.

If the printer itself is wireless, it does not need to recognize your wireless computer network. Call Lexmark to walk you through proper installation. Lexmark's manuals are not adequate regarding setup, in my opinion.

Was able to use printer "wirelessly", now must use USB cable

first of all check whether the printer is on a network or not by printing a network confirguration page..to print a network confirguration..1.press the setup button..2.scroll down to option to network press OK..3. then it says view network settings press OK..4. then it says print network confirguration page..the page that prints you will see IP Address of the printer..
now come to the computer..open command prompt..type PING and then the IP address of the printer..if you get a message packets sent=4, recieved=4 ,lost=0 then it is on a network..otherwise turn off the printer computer and the router..wait for 5mins and then turn on the router wait for 3mins then the printer wait for 3mins..and then the computer..then try to PING..
and go to the printers folder you would see the icon of the printer..right click on it go to properties..and in the properties screen you would see a tab which says ports..under ports check for which option does the printer is been check..if it is checked for USB then the printer will not print..if it is checked for TCP/IP then it is fine..
if it is checked for USB then you need to do add a device by inserting the software CD..if it says TCP/IP then got to the setup folder in the Software CD..you would see a folder UTIL..open that then you would see CCC..open that then you need to select uninstall_L2..once the uninstallation is complete..restart the computer..and then start the installation.printer would be detected on a network..installation would be successfull..then try printing a test page..that would print
