Question about Kodak V803 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Lcd problems When I turn the camera on, the screen is very dark. I have tried all the settings on the camera to make it brighter but that hasn't worked. I am still able to take pictures and when I transfer them to the computer, they come out normal. I noticed earlier that the screen went brighter for a second and then turned dark again. I think there may be a problem with connection.

Hey amb151,
From how you describe the problem it sounds like you probably do have a connection problem, but the only way to really know is to have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician such as bringing the camera to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store. If the camera was purchased less than a year ago the repair would likely be free of charge. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

In my w180 image is clear and bright in the LCD screen but when i downloaded the images to my PC it shows poor lighting and dark images pls help me

The lcd screen on your camera is back-lit and shows a brighter picture than the one you actually take. If you can turn down the screen brightness that may help. You could also raise the "exposure compensation" setting and experiment until you find a setting you like.

Dark screen when I turn on the camera and take pictures.

It looks like the LCD backlight malfunction. Check the backlight voltage, if you have the voltage there, you need to replace the LCD unit, otherwise the main board is defective.

Hi there I have a casio DV-R40 which has been

try changing the exposure of the LCD

and/or of the picture also using the [+/-] button and set it to 0 for the bright piiture

now for the blue tint you would have to check the white balance

you would be allowed to change the exposure and white balance when u put the camera in Program (P) mode or othe manual modes

cheers

The LCD screen is hard to see. What should I do?

If the LCD screen is too bright or too dark, adjust the LCD Brightness setting in the Setup Menu. If you are shooting photos outdoors in bright light, move the joystick to the icon showing the sun over shaowed area to turn on Outdoor mode and make the LCD screen easier to see in bright light.

Is it possible that you've gone into M (manual) mode and the shutter speed is fast and a small aperture (large number) been selected? Or has the Exposure compensation been adjusted to be -2? Does it do the same thing in fully automatic mode? It certainly sounds like some setting has been adjusted incorrectly.
