I've tried the things that people have put on the blogs and forums and nothing works for me. I don't really understand what is going on with my phone at all. I try everything exactly like the instructions say and it doesn't work. Help?

I just got the Infuse today. I had to return my Atrix because my unit
had a defect. I was pretty happy with most things on the Atrix, but
decided to try the Infuse, instead of another Atrix. So far, I'm really
happy with the decision. It DOES fit in my jeans pocket - and if I turn
it sideways, I can even sit down. I haven't seen a bit of pixelation or
blurriness on the screen. In my test calls to my husband, he said I
sounded really good. (I didn't have any voice quality trouble with the
Atrix, though, either.) What I'm really enjoying is that everything just
seems to be a whole lot easier to do when the screen is bigger. The
phone is really zippy and responsive. The text is generally more
readible, because it's larger, and even a little TOO big in places - but
that's not a problem. I loved being able to install the Amazon App
Store app and then start installing apps from there. That was really
easy. The camera appears to be good. I'm pretty happy so far.
The only bad thing I've found is that there is a bug in how Tango works
on this phone. The picture that you send from the front camera is
rotated 90 degrees. I checked on the Tango forum, and I was not the
first to report this. The others were all on various Samsung phones, and
it sounded like the problem started after the recent update of the
Tango software. My voice is also going in and out, so I have to hold the
phone pretty close and speak loudly - just during Tango calls
If you've followed it's instruction to connect it to iTunes and done a sync and nothings still working on it. then it's a problem with the phone. You could try updating the firmware to a newer version and seeing if that helps.
A lot of times, restoring from a previous sync is the harm done. Sometimes, I don't know why. But an old file can corrupt and make things really hard
I don't really understand what is being asked here. Are you saying you were **** and dropped your phone in the toilet and it is now wet? The best thing to do is remove the battery right away. Get a big jar, fill it with rice. Put the phone and the battery in the rice filled jar. The rice will absorb all moisture quickly, hopefully saving the water-logged electronics. Keep the phone in the jar for 24 to 48 hours, let it really dry out. Try to put the battery in the phone and start it up. If NOTHING happens, maybe the battery is dead. Try charging it. If still NOTHING happens, I think that you may have water-logged your phone and it is beyond repair. Try using your home-owner's insurance, if you have it, and claim your phone was stolen. Maybe they will give you money to buy a new phone.
Hello. I boght one of this but at home I had no reception. I had to take out the camera because I cannot use a camera at work and I tried something I had done with my previous phone. there is an external antenna conector. I take a piece of thin insulated wire ( as the one used on fixed phones) peal off about 3 mm and inserted it into the cell phone's external antenna, route the wire inside phone and close it carefully. For my cell it really worked. Now I have 50% signal at home and 100% on the street.
hope it work : )
You said the new battery worked but wont charge in the phone. You had water damage to the phone before getting the new battery correct?
First remove any Mini S/D card in the phone, power it off and remove the battery. ( only do this if its out of warranty and nothing else works. ) Your need to take the phone apart and get some alcohol wipes and wipe down the circuit board and connectors and anything that may have had water on it, if you see any crude, try to rub it off, there may be water and crude built up on contacts from the water damage that may be shorting the phone. Also check the battery contacts for greas or crud on the contacts. Once you have wiped down everything the alcohole should evaporate and take any moisture with it. Leave it out for a day dis assembled so it can air dry completely.
Put phone back together and hook up the charger and see if it charges. wait to put the memory card back in as in case you screwed anything up, you dont want it to take out your memory card with it.
I have performed this task with many of my friends cell phone that have gone through washing machines or got moisture in it because they take there phones into a steamy shower and moisture ends up shorting it out.
If nothing else works and you want to try it, go for it.
remember theres 6 screws in back and 4 around the mainscreen that are covered with triangular sticky covers, then use a thin knife or something to pry from one of the corners, one it gets started you just have to pop it apart with your fingers. Everything snaps back together easily.
Be carefull on the side with the screens, you dont wanto to pop apart the front screen from the mainscreen as its a pain to keep together when putting it back, also dont get any dust or fingerprints on the screen as they will drive you nuts if you put it all back together and theres a greasy fingerprint under the plastic that protects the screen.
