Question about Rolex Day-Date President 118238 Wristwatch
I have one Rolex Datejust (middle-sized, steel, white bezel with roman numerals), and I have a problem. When I unscrew the crown I can set the date in the mid position perfectly, but when I pull out the crown in full to the second position, I'm able to adjust time only counterclockwise. When I'm gonna do it clockwise, it sounds like a friction between pinions, and the hands doesn't advance, or they do it with an uneven and jerky motion.
I have my own working table, with a lot of fine tools from Witschi, Bergeon, etc., and I normally carry all of my watches' support and maintenance, but before dismantling the watch, I prefer to listen to your opinion.
Thanks in advace for your help, and receive my best regards from Madrid, Spain.

I think tou may have a problem with either your pinion gear or your hour gear, or in that area where your calender is. Let me know what you find out.We can go from there.
