Question about Gateway FPD1775W Monitor
I purchased a new Emachines computer at Best Buy about 2 months ago and they gave me a Gateway monitor FPD1775W with it. A couple of weeks ago the monitor started having wide auqa and white vertical lines and red areas on dark parts of the screen and the forefront of, for example, faces have blue areas. It isn't constant and it will come and go. I have rebooted the computer, Shut down and let it cool off(?). Looked at the resolution and other settings but nothing seems to help. Is it fixable from home? Do I return it? Is it a lemon? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
First things First
1) If you can or have another monitor try and see if the problem persist.
2) RMS the monitor if you keep these problem in these particular monitor.
3) usually these, problems, its cause by a bad capacitor in the monitor motherboard, or resistor.
4) it is best to return the monitor.

You might want to consider a default settings reset. To refresh or reset the monitor back to default settings, unplug the
monitor's power cord, and then press the the power button for five (5)
seconds to drain any residual power. Plug in and then turn on the
monitor. The default settings load.
