Question about JVC LXD300U clearance Multimedia Projector
I have a JVC LX-D300U LCD Projector. It had been great until I needed to replace the bulb. I purchased a new replacement bulb and installed the bulb properly. However I do not have a manual for this projector and I believe there must bbe some way of resetting the the system to accept the new bulb. Maybe by pressing a combination of buttons? I don't know? Can someone offer assistance or provide me with a copy of the manual?
Thanks - Jason
It should work right away. Try again, restart the projector and ps3 make sure everything is connected and the input on the projector is on dvi.

Did any suggestions work? I have the same projector and am thinking of
upgrading to bluray dvd player. When i tried before, I had HDCP issues. Thanks.

Apparently, the above posted steps do work, but they are finicky. The manual suggests that you do the aforementioned steps with the remote - I had tried with the remote and when that did not work I tried directly on the controls on the unit itself. Neither had worked - after multiple attempts, hence the posting above. The solution was that the various steps need to be done speedily - when I previously did it I apparently did not press the sequence rapidly enough. Nothing in the manual suggests that this is the case (and in fact I thought I had previously followed the steps in rapid succession on at least one of the many times I had tried, but apparently not quickly enough). I never could get this rapid succession of steps to work with the remote (as the manual said I needed to), but I did ultimately get the rapid succession of steps to work when done directly to the unit itself. The first three steps need to be completed within approximately 1-1.5 seconds, the final push of the volume+ button did require 2 or more seconds before the process was recognized (and complete). Never did have a single FixYa party try to address my issue - perhaps you only really get responses from them when you pay for their monthly service.

Check out the Power supply to the lamp . It must not be high . . Check if the voltages are correct to the lamp's unit and it's PCB [printed circuit board]. I recommend using a service manual .
Here is how to replace a projector's bulb correctly :
1:Make sure that your power switch is off and that the power cord is unplugged from the electrical socket.
It is also wise to unplug any other cables and label them in order to restore them in the right way once the lamp is replaced.
2:In order to see the lamp, remove the access handle on the outside cover. You may need to use a screwdriver.
3:Pull out the used lamp and clean the relevant parts using micro fiber products and not paper.
Please note that in some projectors a small inside filter should also be replaced.
4:Insert the new lamp into the projector carefully avoiding touching the glass of the lamp itself.
Touching the lamp will deposit skin oil that will likely damage any new lamp during use.
5:Reassemble the access panel, replug the cables and power up the projector.
Things You'll Need:
new projector lamp
micro fiber duster
avoid touching the bare projector lamp
I hope this will help .
