Try an locate the CMOS battery. it should be a little nickel battery in a yellow casing with a red and black wire connected to the motherboard. check near the ram, and the CD Drive. Once found, remove it. (including the notebook's battery and AC adapter) wait about 10 seconds, plug the CMOS battery back in, the actual battery, and the AC adapter if needed. and you should b e good to go.

I forgot BIOS Password

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "ToshibaSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Manuals and search them for Bios Password or Bios Password Reset.
I searched and Toshiba did not have any manuals or drivers for this model. Must be really old.
Anyway try the link below for removing the bios password.

You could try removing the cmos battery.

You will have to remove the power cord, remove the batteryand remove the CMOS Battery that is located on the motherboard. On mostcomputers you will have to take the laptop apart to get to the cmosbattery. On some systems it looks like a silver nickel that you will needa small flat head screw driver to pop it out. On other systems it will beinside a vinyl covering and has a cable that plugs into the motherboard. Once you remove the CMOS Battery, let it sit for an hour or two then put itback in and put the laptop back together. Boot the machine and you'llprobably have to go into the Bios or System Setup because the system will haveforgotten the date, time and password.

You can try the steps below, but no guarantee it will work on every laptop.

BUT removing the battery needs dissassembly of the laptop. Some laptops the battery is under the keyboard, if this is not your options try google and search removal bios password.

How to remove bios password in toshiba satellite A305-s6905 laptop? i tried removing the battery, but it didnt work... it asked me for a JO pin, which i was unable to find.

Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don’t have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.
When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.
Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.
B. By Using Software:
I have found that BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is a program that works instantly to remove any lost or forgotten BIOS/CMOS password. Simply boot your PC to DOS and execute the program, and get access to forgotten BIOS/CMOS passwords in just seconds

Forgot my password on my laptop it is in the bios and I can't remember how to get into the bios to change it

Hi,
If you forgot your BIOS password, then you can reset it by clearing the CMOS settings. Do to that, you have to remove a small battery present onto the motherboard in your laptop. Remove the back panel of your laptop and locate your motherboard carefully. There you can find a small coin sized battery which provides power to the CMOS to remember your system date, password and other settings. Remove that battery from your motherboard and replace it back after 15 mins. Then fix the panel back and restart your system. It will prompt you for setting up BIOS or to restore default settings. Now your password should also be cleared. I hope this solves your problem.

Bios password

if you know the password, then when you go to change it instead of entering a new password just press enter on the keyboard. If you don't know the password try, admin or administration or even the word password.
