A white line.

Mean the the lcd is damage, the only way to get rid of it it to replace the LCD screen, you can take it to a sahop or try to find one on EBAY. and replace it.

well the lcd might not be damge but there no power going to that line of screen, probably because it got droppped or left in the sun to long, or possibly, something broke it while in a pocket or purse. (like keys or a cell phone) could be a number of things.

but most likely its need to be replaced.

How to get rid of vertical white lines on printed images

Not sure what type of printer you are using but this usually indicates you need to either clean or align the print heads, or both. If using Windows go to Control Panel and select the printer you are using. There should be a Maintainance Tab. If you see the options to preform the functions listed above give it a try. However, if your printer is several years old you may not be able to adequately align the print heads. Worth a try though.

E900 wont upload pictures to my PC

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Windows Photo Gallery or any other photo cataloging program.

My photoes come out very white with lines i cant seen to get rid of them and i have lost the cd that came with it

You have an over exposure situation and there might be a crack on the lens or the body of the camera. If you have a warranty great and if not check the prices for a new camera. I think to repair it is not economical. Good Luck

Fuji E900

Try the video function.
If this works fine then it is most probably the shutter sticking.
To confirm the shutter is sticking turn the camera on, put the zoom to full optical and turn it to face you so you can see into the lens. Watch the inner part of the lens when you take a picture. You should see the shutter fire across the lens. Lines on pictures or over exposed pictures are caused by gaps in the shutter or the shutter failing to fire altogether.
Moisture residue on the shutter leafs is the common cause for this problem.
Some people on here have their own views about what causes lines on photo's. Someone even said digital cameras do not have a shutter and problems were due to software issues....
I have dealt with 100's of different models, including Fuji's E900 and always have found moisture residue to be the cause.

My pictures are coming out blown out with white lines streaking through them. After retaking a photo 4 or 5 times I can get a normal shot.

The shutter is sticking. You will probably find the video function works ok as this does not use the shutter.
Shutter will require cleaning.

Bit of a serious FixYa for ya! My Fujifilm e900 has picked up sand (& possibly a little water from damp towels) probs from trips to beach. Picture quality now affected for the first time ... loads of...

This is a common enough problem, and repairable if you have the patients and aptitude, with digital cameras.
You will probably find that video is un affected. This is the one clue as to your problem of white lines or over exposed pictures. The video function does not use the shutter.
I have pictures of how to clean the shutter on an E900 If you wish to try your self. My email is listed on my tips page of my profile under "THE ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW" but please remember it is not a quick or easy task to do.

When i take pictures, sometimes they come out with lines all over them.

shutter problem. put camera into full optical zoom, turn it to face you and angle it so that you can see into the lens without reflection. In full zoom the internal lens is right up to the outer lens so, even on a small lens such as this, when you press the picture button you should see the shutter close across fully. If it does not you will get either an over exposed or complete white out picture. Or lines across your pictures.
The shutter needs to be cleaned. There is grease in the camera for the moving parts and is probable that this is the cause for the error.
I have found this to be the case for fuji's E900, E550, F40fd, F470, F460, and a few samsung's as well.

FinePix E900 battery problem

The support desk at Fujifilm got me to insert new batteries (rechargables) and try again. The batteries did not die but in the viewer, the picture is very bright (white) and has close horizonal lines running across the picturere. They want me to send it in by registered post (cost to me), only give a quote after inspecting it - which is far enough, but if I don't go ahead with the repairs, it will cost me $40 to get the camera back (as if it would be any good to me). Their web site states that the average repair is about $120, but it could be lots more. When I paid nearly $700 for the thing I expected it to last more than just over a year.
I rang several camera repairers who all told me that the only place that can repapir Fujifilm is Fuji themselves. This is not good and I won't be buying another Fujifilm again.

White pictures and lines across pictures

Try this to isolate the problem.
Switch on the camera in auto and put it into full optical zoom. Now turn the camera to face you and angle it so that you can see into the lens without reflection. On full zoom the internal lens will be right up to the outer lens. Now press the button to take a picture. You should be able to see the shutter cover the inside lens and then open again. Did it completely cover the lens? It should do. If not then you will get an over exposed picture or a picture with lines across it.
Email me for more info and how to solve. daveward712@aol.com
