You can get one at Radio Shack. Why is this question in the computer section?

Display went dark/black- symptoms point to T-con board but after 20 minutes, display lit up for 2 minutes then went dark again. Same thing happened again after next 20. After 60, display stayed on

Hi there,

I was a Samsung tech for 3 years, and T-cons are a common problem. But it sounds like a loose wire to the T-con, I have came across the same issue in the field. I would break it apart and look for a loose connection.

Thanks,
Jason

Lost my fuse + fuse cap for altec Lansing 621 during a move, does anyone know a place to get one and part #? I would assume they are still using the same fuse cap and fuse in most their other models so if...

Most fuse holders tend to be STANDARD sizes with regard to mounting holes and fuse sizes

Your idea of going to radio shack is the best as the ones they stock are also STANDARD and even though you may end up buying the whole fuse holder just to get the cap the cheap prices would be worth it.

If worst comes to worst you would have a WHOLE holder to replace the one that is in there if you dont mind doing a little soldering.

These speakers arent making any sound how do iget

Hello....
1 - r u facing NO Audio/Sound issue...?
2 - is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

if ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....and no file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it….
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just trying to do some service.

Cambridge megaworks 250D won't power up.

Yes, Hi there, as junk996 say, check for the FUSE , and carefully see if burn, or something is bad waired, other than this, if you can RMS the unit is better, or with warranty.
If not, check with s tech guru , for open the panel and check cables, or broken wires. (board inside the sub)
good luck!

Subwoofer fuse 'holder' missing.

tape or solder a piece of metal across where the fuze and holder would go.
OR
go to radio shack, pick up a small cartridge style fuze holder and an appropriate replacement fuze. (if you dont have the original fuze, dont bother with this method) Open the box or case to gain access to the circuit board. solder a new holder to the contacts.

Be aware that I have no clue what the fuze holder on that particular model looks like.

No ac getting to power unit in woofer case

I'm not sure if Z4i is the same as the X-530. But the picture you have is a X-530 Woofer. To take apart the X-530 woofer case, quite simple.

It's a pretty simple disassemble once you get the Grill off the front. Thats the only trick to it. The really annoying part is all of the glue they put... i just took my apart. I have to get rid of a **** load of glue just to get to the FUSE! I guess they didnt want the fuse to fall out? ... they really could have saved some glue.

Hope this helps.

1) take off the grill, there are i think about four tabs that go into the case. You should be able to pry the grill off without breaking anything.

2)unscrew the black grill holder, it was what holds the grill on.

3)unscrew the speaker

4) unplug the two - and + from the speaker

-from this point on... its pretty obvious...

to take off the main board,

Unscrew all of the screws on the back of it, the outside. All of the ones on the outside of the main board. Not the inside ones, you can see a difference in the screws. You could take them all off, your going to have to take those off if you want to take the heat shield(transfer case) off. You have to take this off in order to get to the componets, like the Fuse and so forth.

to take the air intake tube off, unscrew the four screws holding it on from the inside.
the air inverter thingy, you have to unscrew the screws on the bottom of the case, your going to need some piliers or a socket.

Altec Lansing ada745 fuse

It is written on the sub. You can also take it out or look at the spare which is taped to the power cord wall plug. I believe it's T1A 250V fuse
