Old NuTone 9093n Model replacement.?

Hi -- I just spent a couple of days taking out the old assembly, cleaning all the parts (layers of dust coats) and putting the 9093N back in order to fix the noisy fan. The cold air coming back in is from to the heating and I'd guess the heating element is busted. Yes, you can run it in both airflow modes: ceiling air exhaust and hot air blown to the floor. That said, the noise level on mine hasn't gone down. So I'll look for the replacement assembly. Good luck!

Nutone bath fan how do you clean the vent

Usually the vent cover pulls straight down, and is held in place with 2 V-shaped metal spring wires.
Squeeze each spring wire together to release cover from ceiling box.
Use vacuum to clean vent fan housing. Some vent fans can be disassembled and motor housing removed for cleaning. Do NOT use water on electric motor. Simple vacuum, or dry toothbrush cleaning is good enough.
Spay tiny bit of WD40 on the fan motor shaft or add tiny dab of white grease if desired.
The plastic cover can be scrubbed with soap and water, rinse to remove soap residue, and when dry, paint with aerosol spray paint using 3-5 very light coats applied in 5 minute intervals.

I have 80 bath exhaust fans in the hotel that I maintain. There is a loud dripping noise coming from a few of them but no sign of water at the top housing (from attic). I contacted a "professional" and...

I would expect that each fan has it's own damper right there at the fan. Otherwise, one room's fan would blow another with which it shares ductwork. I have stayed in hotel rooms where cigarette smoke came into my room through my exhaust fan unless I ran my fan. So, why would some of the dampers tend to flap? You'll have to take a look. Maybe they have counterweights or springs to hold them closed. Maybe they are missing or adjustable. Maybe the problem only exists when the guest has their windows open - which could cause the dampers to flap in the changing breezes.

Looking for repacement globe for bath room exaust fan

Hi there, What I would do without knowing what kind of exhaust fan you have is Google it online. Or, if you have the make, model number, etc., and take it down to your nearest home depot, lowe's, etc., or heating and supply company close to you. These are pretty common exhaust fans, so you should have no problem finding a replacement. Good Luck with this, and if you have an other problem regarding your fan, feel free to contact me and I'd be willing to help you out.  - Jim

Is this fan loud?

The fan is about as loud as the standard powder room bath fan at 4.0 sones, (though it is moving more than twice the air as those fans).
