Question about Olympus DS-50 Digital Voice Recorder
I have been using this DS-50 digital voice recorder for over year on a weekly, almost daily basis. I have always attached the voice recorder to my computer through the USB port, opened the DSS Player software. It senses the device as it shows up under "devices." I simply click on the download button at the top menu bar and download the files to each correspondending folder. Now, no matter what I do, when I click on the download button at the top of the menu bar All the folders are grayed out. I tried "download all" and I see "preparing for dowload" but the files are not downloaded as far as I can tell. What in tarnation am I doing different that this is not working. It is not rocket science. I don't get it!
This has happened to me often. I have had to remove the DS-50 using the safely remove hardware button and then reconnect. Usually, that fixes it. I am talking about downloading podcasts here.
I myself now face the problem that the device is not sensed by the computer. I'm waiting for Olympus support to reply to my email.
