Hi - brittathan - Was the battery installed when you got it or did you have to put it in? Either way, sometimes batteries are shipped with little protective plastic pieces on the contacts. Make sure these have been removed. If you didn't put the battery in yourself, turn your laptop off and remove the battery. There will be a slide lock and then a slide to remove the battery. Be sure not to let the battery fall when removing. Check the ends for the tabs and also the inside of the battery compartment. If you find any remove and replace the battery making sure it's all the way in and then be sure to re-lock it. Power up and check it. Either way, let me know what happens please. Thanks.

If its not already fully charged, then you may be having an electronics issue. take it in and have it serviced.

The battery is not charging, the laptop may be in hibernation.

It should still work nevertheless. Try pressing F8 to go in to safe mode

The charger is not charging the Lap Top

You will have to replace the power pack (charger)of your laptop to get it charging again. another option is to try another charger to be sure it is your charger that is faulty.

No power to my gateway m-6750 lap top. Have been

Hello,

First use the following steps:

1 Disconnect the battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Connect the charger (don't connect the battery yet) and try to start by pressing the power button.

If everything remain same, check the charger with a multimeter and match the voltage output with its specs.

If the charger is good, then there can be some problem with the DC jack (where you connect the charger).

Thanks

Dell c640 charging problems.

Instead of spending alot of time trying to do something that could potentially harm your laptop..why not just buy a power supply?

You can get one here Click here for about 16 dollars. That's a great deal they are usually about $60 and its a Dell brand not some off brand.

Good Luck
