Yes the power supply akai supplied with the tv is kind of weak so it usualy gets warm because it has trouble keeping up with the energy demand which sometimes leads to tv failure because the tv keeps trying to draw more power and the power supply cant keep up so the tv may eventually quit worse case senario because it is trying so hard to draw more power which causes it to fry the tvs circut board out mine does the same thing it is normal. i just went and bought a aftermarket bigger power supply and the tv works better and the black box stays cooler all you need to do is bring you power supply to radio shack and they will see what you need. Hope this helps

EIFLS55IIW will not power on

Thank you for your post, friend!
I understand that your Frigidaire washer will not power on and you have replaced the black box. If your washer is not receiving any power it could either be an issue with your power cord, control panel, or in home circuit. I would suggest making sure that your household circuit breaker is not switched off or shorted. If the circuit is working properly I would recommend having a professional technician come out in order to provide an accurate diagnosis. If you do not have a professional contact I would check your manufacturer's website for additional assistance. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

No volume from cable

Hello!
First step: reset your cable box by unplugging of the power supply or unplug power cord of the box. If that's an old fashion big gray one or black one with additional power outlet for TV set, there is a power cord goes into. Unplug it, then plug it back in within 1 minute. not the TV itself, but the cable box's power cord. This will reset it. If you have more modern one or small one for non HD TVs, they have external power adapter, which plugs into those boxes.
Pull that plug out for a minute, then plug it back into. That should take care of your sound issue. Known problem.
Good luck,
Let me know if that took care of your issue.
thanks,
Alex.

My printer won't turn on. I have tried turning everything off and back on but it still won't turn on.

There is only one way to find out if it is an issue with the printer or the Power cord or Power Adapter.

Normally every HP printer has 2 parts. One cord connects the Printer to an Adapter. the Adapter cord then connects to the Wall outlet.

Now that you have connected the printer to working outlet, Check after 10-15 mins if the Adapter ( black box ) is warm or cold. If the Adapter is warm and the green LED light on adapter is glowing, then it could an issue with the Cord or the Printer.

Try with another Adapter or power cord to diagnose.

For Other brand printers, there should be a power adapter ( black box ) and it should be warm when connected to wall outlet, if it is not warm then it is defective power adapter that you need to replaced. Else it is a problem with printer mechanism.

Shawn

I have a HP Deskjet D1560, and with the power cord plugged into a working outlet (I checked), the printer won't turn on. Is it just old? Is something wrong with the power cord or the printer?

Hello my printer won't turn on

Here are some checklist that might help resolve the problem:
  • Make sure power cord is securely and directly connected to a known working power outlet. Bypass any power strips or surge protectors.
  • Unplug and replug the power cord into the power outlet and the back of the printer.
  • Remove the power adapter(small black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached) from the printer and check if it's warm or cold, it could be a defective power adapter issue.
  • If you have access to a voltmeter, test the power supply.

I cannot turn the printer on

These are the possible solutions:
  • Press power button.
  • Disconnect and reconnect the power cord. Plug the printer's power cord straight into an electrical outlet that other electrical devices have been using. Bypass any surge devices or power strips.
  • Unplug the power adapter from printer (rectangular black box inserted in the printer where the power cord is attached). With the power cord attached to it and other end plugged into the power outlet in the wall, check if it's warm/hot but not too hot, that means it's working fine.

If these does not help, it could be a possible defective power adapter issue. Please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance. Thanks.

How do you hook the four wire electric cable to the terminal marked L1, L2, L3? the wires are colored red, white, black and green.

5f73f71.jpg
To connect power cord:
• Remove the screws from the cover of the
junction box located at the top rear of the dryer.
• Loosen/remove the two screws on the strain
relief clamp and remove from 4-wire supply
cord.
• The strain relief splits into two indentical parts.
• Insert the large flange of both sections into the
hole located on the left side of the junction box
housing. The short flange of both sections and
screws must remain positioned on the external
side of the junction box housing.
• Insert the 4- wire supply cord through both
sections of the strain relief and re-install strain
relief screws, do not fully tighten until electrical
connections are complete.
• Attach the power cord ground conductor (green
wire) to the ground terminal marked with the
ground symbol. Tighten screw until ground
conductor is secure. (See Fig. 7)
• Attach the power cord neutral conductor (white
wire) to the neutral terminal. (marked N)
Tighten screw until neutral conductor is secure.
(See Fig. 7)
• Attach the power cord phase conductor (black
wire) to the phase terminal (marked L3).
Tighten screw until power conductor is secure.
(See Fig. 7)
• Attach the power cord phase conductor (red
wire) to the phase terminal (marked L1).
Tighten screw until power conductor is
secure.(See Fig. 7)
• Tighten the screws on the strain relief so that
the power cord cannot be moved.
• Re-install the cover of the junction box and
secure with four screws removed earlier.
• The dryer is now ready to be connected to the
power supply receptacle.

Printer will not power on

Try these out:
1. Check for any physical defects on the power cord. Plug printer straight to the power outlet in the wall without using any extensions or power strips.
2. Plug the printer to a known working power outlet in the wall.
3. Unplug the printer's power supply (the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached). With the power cord still attached to power supply and the other end still plugged in to the power outlet, it should feel warm but not hot. Then, plug it back in the printer.
4. If still no power, press the power button.
5. If after doing these and the printer is still not powering on, you might be looking at a defective power cord or defective power supply.
